24.01.2022 Nice... ill have to check this out. i have Astigmatism in both eyes so prism sight are great for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5lpXUASSs4

23.01.2022 About to add a new member to the family. PTA submitted last night!!

22.01.2022 Ooooooooooooo... What is this little box of happiness and joy, that was delivered from Brownells USA today??? Correct answer gets a hifive... What rifle is it for?

22.01.2022 I've been looking into buying a NV optic so I can shoot under a black light. But I wasn't sure if I should go a digital NV, a dedicated NV scope, a "clip on" NV optic that sits in-front of the scope or a NtieSite type setup. After doing a bit a research for a few months and having the opportunity to check out the 4 different set ups I've finally decided on the Nitesite.... For me its the best option, its a little bulky for my needs but my main concerns were 1 clarity, 2 accuracy, and 3 the ability to record. Having a camera BEHIND the scope allows for you to use the entire optical zoom from 6 all the way to 24 without any loss in clarity. The NiteSite is the only one I found that had this ability. I really liked the Pulsar N455 but after having a play with it, it was clear that on higher magnification the screen was pixelated... its still an awesome scope and a great package but it just wasn't what I was after. Also the Pard NV008 scope only had 6 + 13 power zoom and the recital didn't re center once zeroed (you have to manually "shim" this scope ). Both the N455 and the NV008 can record. Had a similar problem with pixelation with the Pulsar F455 and my PVS14.... couldn't really get a magnification over 6x without loosing clarity. Neither unit can record. I also took a look at a dedicated NV scope like the AGM Wolverine aside from a price tag of about $4000 the max magnification on the unit is only 4x and it cant record, not what I wanted. Anyways, I've decided to go with a NiteSite setup, as such I picked up a new Optisan EVX 6-24x50 FF1 scope from Safari the other day. I now have the same scope on all my rifles and I can easily move the NiteSite between any of my rifles as the scope tubes are all the same diameter. I really love the EVX scopes, they are a FF1 scope so once your zeroed your milldots don't change no matter what magnification your using and the 24x is more than a enough to shoot out to 200 meters at night. I took a few pics from the range the other night when I zeroed the new scope...@ShawMac Suppressor, Rem700 223 in a FagPul stock, OSA Green tips, EVX scope, 5 shots 1 hole, 1 inch low @ 50 meters. Ill pickup a NiteSite just as soon as I can afford it and post some pics for you guys.

22.01.2022 The tyrants are even more scared of an Australian law abiding citizen who legally owns an AR15.

22.01.2022 Were on again today!! Just a quick shoot this time. Got about half a dozen enemies of freedom to take care of in a small factory unit. Should be a quick shoot and we were able to do it on a reduced rate to help out our new client.

21.01.2022 Had a little issue with mob the other day... It completely failed. I've now lost all my numbers... If your a friend of mine or I had your number previously and you'd like me to speak to you again, I'll need you to send me a txt with your name so I can re save your number...lol

21.01.2022 Out doing a bit of AR, thermal, Gen2+ HD NV rabbit control. We shot maybe a little over 2 dozen? The NV struggled a bit as there was no moon.... The AR and thermal, as usual, performed flawlessly.

21.01.2022 The DBAL-PL turned up today. Big thank you to my mate Andrew Pope from @StealthVisionAustralia for sending me this unit to try out for a few weeks before I decide if I want to buy. First impressions are the unit seems well made and is light years ahead of the Chinese gear I was looking at on eBay. Civilian DBAL, PEQ15 and other IR lasers are still under ITAR in the US so Brownells USA won't ship them to Australia ATM...... Hoping this changes soon. The until came with everything pictured, but not sure if this is how it'll ship if Andrew decides to stock them. I found the DBAL-PL sits too high to go the top rail so I've had to mount it on the side. It would've been nice if I did fit ontop as this is the preferred mounting position but for what's available in Australia... Beggars can't be choosers lol The unit is powered by 2x CR123 batteries. These are easily found in eBay for cheap with a charger. One thing I quite liked about the DBAL-PL is the plastic box the unit ships in doubles as a belt mounted double AR15 mag pouch...lol I've taken a few pics of the various modes the DBAL-PL has... First pic is all black with no white light or NVGs. Second pic is the white light from the unit... It seems a little "Flood light" like and doesn't have the option to focus the beam to be narrowed and have a longer throw. This light might be good for maybe 50-60 meter, I really can't tell as my back yard is only about 10 meters Next up is the red dot with white light... Then the 4th pic is NVG with just the ambient light Then NVG with IR illuminater, it seems to have a narrower beam than the white light and I think would also be good out past 50m or so. Then my fav we have the IR laser, if u look closely you can actually see the beam of the laser before it hits the fence. That's so cool and I was hoping the IR laser would do that. So far so good, I'll try to get out to my cousins property this weekend to give this bad boy a run for a few hours. But at this point I'm very happy with it. All the mounts the PVS14 have now turned up except the most important one, the Wilcox helmet mount. So I'll be forced to use that shitty skull crusher for a few weeks until the real deal rocks up. If you guys have any questions feel free to post them below. I'll do my best to answer them.

20.01.2022 In hindsight... Paying an Indian based company for marketing from an unsolicited call... Might not have been the best idea... It's just their rates were so good!!

19.01.2022 "No items have been removed" they say... So wheres the G18 i had in the box??? Lol...

17.01.2022 Just found my new car

17.01.2022 The latest addition to the gun room is BASED and WHOLESOME. #BillOfRights Remember kids, you are granted inalienable rights, at birth, by your creator.... These rights are not something any Government has the ability to legislate away.

17.01.2022 Heading out to a new site tonight to humanly dispatch some pest pigeons. Should be able to get some soild numbers for our new client.

15.01.2022 AGM PVS14 gen2+ HD Tree lines are between 50 and 200 meters. 1/4 moon out and no clouds

15.01.2022 Alright... Were on again tonight. Let's see how we go!!

14.01.2022 Picked up some communist freedom and liberty tonight. We love 7.62*39 here at MOA. Got this lot for about .24c a rnd. Anything under about .30c for ex mill 7.62*39 is pretty good. I've heard some ppl at gun shows sell this ammo for $14 for 20 rnds. You wouldn't get me paying that much... Do any of you guys know what the marking on the second pic mean??

14.01.2022 Happy independence day to our American brothers... Don't ever give up your right to bear arms...

13.01.2022 It's as easy as 1, 2, 3.

13.01.2022 Another successful operation by MOA Contract Shooting. Bit of an even mix this time between Myans and Pigeons, we started out in the main shed and removed a good number of the Myans, but on this occasion they were a little better at hiding, we removed about 70% of the flock, the rest flew off, not sure if they went to another part of the site or if they completely left the site all together. As for the Pigeons, we just about removed the entire flock. Pigeons are easier to rem...ove once it goes dark, they're reluctant to fly and even sit right next to each other when they are being shot. We had a larger number (Vs our other shoots) of pests falling into restricted zones, on to roofs or were head shot and didn't fall out of the rafters and were un recoverable. Hoping to book another follow up operation in the next few weeks to remove the rest of the Myans and reinforce with any of the other straggler they're no longer welcome. Total for the night... 73 pest birds removed ( 34 recovered + 39 unrecoverable ) 13 nests destroyed with 2 - 3 juveniles in each The operation was conducted in an industrial area of Sydney, the police were happy, the client was happy, there was no disturbance to the staff and we had ZERO complainants from the general public. Safety, Performance, Discretion.

12.01.2022 PVS14 Gen2+ HD. When u have a few bonfires to help light the night up. Tree and fence line are about 150m away.... Really happy with the PVS14, we used to use a PVS7 before but it's no where near a good quality as the PVS14.

11.01.2022 Cleaning guns?? I HATE IT!! I tried to clean one of the ARs the other day and the carbon was so bad on the BCG that after id finished... It looked exactly the same!!... That got me thinking... what can i use to clean my gats quickly and easily without the cost of G96? Ive settled on de-greaser and an old can of gun oil a mate gave me from his time in the military. Gave a few of my guns a clean tonight and it literal only took a few mins for each firearm and they were almost as clean as the day i bought them. What do you use to clean your firearms? Do you clean them every time you shoot them or only when they need it? I'm more of a, shoot it, throw it in the safe, hope it doesn't have a malfunction the next time i use it hahaha

10.01.2022 Had a quick job booked in this arvo. We were contracted to remove a bunch of nests from our clients site. I wasn't expecting to do any shooting today but I though I might as well take a rifle anyways. I'm glad I did.... I was able to capture one of the juveniles and use it's distress calls to call in the parents. I quickly dispatched them as they returned. I was also able to remove a few targets of opportunity. One thing I noticed while I was there, was the ineffectiveness of the bird spikes. The pests just made their nest right on top of the spikes...lol. if anything the spikes actually helped the pests to make their nests. Also a few of the spikes had come loose. Just goes to show, in this instance, physical removal of the pests is a far more cost effective measure. Total for the day... 5 nests removed with 2-3 juveniles in each (all 5 nests were quite high and were difficult to access) 12 pests removed (8 recovered + 4 unrecoverable) Not a bad result for a 1.5 hour operation. Safety, Performance, Discretion

10.01.2022 NODs are finally done!!

09.01.2022 Getting ready to go control some vertebrate pests aka rats with wings We are returning to a site that weve shot a few times now so were not expecting huge numbers but we should still be able to get a solid result for our client And yes Ill be wearing armour, not only because I enjoy a good LARP but on this site you need a hard hat and so I might as well ware something that can intergrate my NODs, Did I mention I enjoy a good LARP?... Those Sydney pigeons have a bad attitude you know...

09.01.2022 Fogs starting to move in. It's raining and cold, not sure if we'll get much more shooting in today. I love it out here tho. ... One day, I'll make the move full time.

08.01.2022 Another successful operation by MOA Contract Shooting. We were contracted to do a follow up operation at a site we shoot a few months ago. We used .22 cal Air Rifles and Thermal optics and Gen2+ night vision to remove pests. The vast majority of the pest birds were taken in the first 1.5 hours, from the back wall of the main shed. ... We noticed the pigeons were trying to hide but with the use of the thermal optics we were able to pick them up easily, reposition the rifles and remove them quickly. There was minimal Myna active on this occasion and most of the pests removed were pigeons. We had a few stragglers arrive a little latter on in the night which we removed in quick order. There was no pest activity after about 2.5 hours so we made the decision to not continue onto the minimum 4 hours and ended the operation early at the 3 hour mark. Finally tally for the night... 17 pest bird removed ( 11 recovered + 6 unrecoverable ) 8 nests destroyed with 2 - 3 juveniles in each The operation was conducted in an industrial area of Sydney. The police were happy, the client was happy, there was no disturbance to the staff or the neighbors, there was no complaints from the public at large and we love repeat work here @ MOA!! Safety, Performance, Discretion...

07.01.2022 How's this for a group at 50m??

07.01.2022 I tried to by a WFA1 back before I got my CAT D, the NSW FAR cucked me tho. If your able id recommend looking at any of the firearms that Warwick produces. they are a good bunch of guys and I'm always happy to recommend them to ppl. I really love the new rifles they are now producing, if you live in a state that allows them I say get one ASAP.

07.01.2022 As promised, here are the scope pics of the PVS14 weapons mount... (the pics taken on my phone really don't do it justice, they're crystal clear IRL) So the PVS14 weapon mount turned up today from the states. Hehe... It's awesome. Turns out it's just about the right height to fit my scope. After playing around with it for a while I've realised it's only really practical up-to about 3x power. When u start hitting 5x power +, the resolution starts to blur. Keep in mind that my... PVS14 has a HD screen so if you bought a cheaper one you might be even pushing 3x power. The first scope pic was taken at 1x. dont worry about the slight blur in any of the pics it just the compression in the pic and the fact I zoomed them all. IRL is clear as day, 1x power is where it's at, you have the best clarity. The second scope pic was taken at 3x power And the 3rd pic was taken in side on 3x power with just a small amount of ambient light from outside. I love it, it look gangsta as hell... Not super practical tho, there are much better options out there for NVG scopes but if you want both a head mount and a weapon mount without massive zoom... The PVS14 is a good option. I've got an IR laser on it's way, so I'll post some pics once I receive it. Super excited to finally get this bad boi helmet mounted with the IR laser so I can larp GrandThumb.

07.01.2022 Went out to a mates property today to help remove some wild goats. Spent hours tromping thru the bush and didnt see a bloody thing!! Then on the way out, guns are packed up and we'd just left his property and a large mob of goats ran across the road right in front of us...lol... Very frustrating. We then also came across a road killed pig. At least we got a free lunch and I got to pickup the skull of one of the goats we shot out there a while back. This is how it goes some times... 1 day ull see 50 or more goats in the first 5 min after arriving at the property... The very next day ur out all day and don't see a dam thing.

06.01.2022 Just finished the HOWA1500 build in .223 Really happy with the final results. Should be a great fox gun from the back of a ute. Going to head out next weekend to put it thru it's paces.... Final cost of the build was about $4300 including the scope. HOWA1500 in 223 with 18inch barrel 1/2x28 thread Pulsar N455 digital NV scope. Custom IR illuminater. Sharps Bros Heatseeker carbon chassis. Fagpul furniture. Brownells buffer tube and castle but.

05.01.2022 Oooowwww..... My poor old Hilux... She hit 400,000 today. Gana need a new engine within the next 100,000 I reckon. ... Do I keep her and drop a new engine in it? She's all paid off and dosent cost me anything. Or do I sell and go back into debt for a newer model? What do you reckon?

05.01.2022 When uve got to bring a bit of BLING to the night OPS.

04.01.2022 LARPER detected

04.01.2022 Another successful operation by MOA Contract Shooting. We were contracted to attended a site that we've been to a number of times, but this time a new shed had been opened up and was infested with Indian Mynas. Need less to say we made short work of the Mynas and we even picked up a few pigeons.... Final tally for the night was.. 56 pest bird removed ( 29 recovered + 27 unrecoverable ) 43 Mynas 13 Pigeons 5 nests destroyed with 2 - 3 juveniles in each 1 Hares spotted 1 Rabbit spotted 1 Cat spotted a few interesting points to note.... 1 Myans are extremely cunning birds, its a lot of fun trying to outsmart them to get a shot away. 2 Without Thermal optics and NODs it would be all but impossible to remove the Myans, they are very good at hiding 3 Most shots will be head shots at 40-50meters as the Mynas really are very good at hiding their bodies, they tend to just peek over every now and then to see if your there, you have to be fast and accurate, they wont give you a second chance to get them The police were happy, the client is happy and there was no complaints from the general public. Safety, Performance, Discretion

04.01.2022 When you had every intention of shooting over the weekend, but life had other plans for you.... 2 days worth of digging, 3 vehicles, 2 tractors and 1 tractor recovery team on the monday made sure everyone (eventually) made it home safe...lol.

04.01.2022 You must choose... But choose wisely. As the true grail will bring you life... The false grail will take it from you...... #AK47>AR15InEveryWay #WhydUChooseTheAK47? #7.62x39=WIN Scott Hillard

03.01.2022 And here it is... Sharps Bros Heatseeker chassis for a HOWA1500. Whole setup cost approx $1100 delivered (not including the barrel and action)... I really like it but its much bigger than I thought it was going to be. Was hoping it would be about the same size as the Wilson Combat. It's a little un comfortable for me to "shoot" off hand as I'm used to the AR but I think my cousin plans to shooting this of a biopod anyways. Those foxes are now on notice. First impressions are the chassis is really great quality. Hopefully that quality will translate into as good, if not better accuracy than before. Altho that'll be hard as the HOWAs are pretty gangsta at accuracy already. The only thing I don't like about the Heatseeker chassis is it dosent take AR15 mags. This is maybe by design tho? All in all I rate it!! Parts Heatseeker chassis Brownells carbine buffer - milspec Fagpul MOE stock with QD cup installed - milspec Fagpul MOE pistol grip Fagpul M-LOK vertical grip 3x Bravo Company M-LOK 5 slot rails (not pictured) 1x Bravo Company M-LOK QD mount (not pictured)

02.01.2022 Finally found a set of 3M ARC rail helmet mounts. I can finally finish my helmet and add the 3M sporttacs... I had such a hard time trying to get the ACR mounts, they don't sell them in Australia and I had to look online a few times to even find them in stock over seas. I rang 3M Australia and they didn't want to know anything about it lol I never knew how hard it would be to try and buy a helmet, NODS and hearing pro setup... Here in Australia, if you want something even a l...ittle bit out of the ordinary your shunned like a lepper in most of the gun shops, indeed even just showing your CAT D lic gets you a stink eyed glare... Lol For something that's so common in the USA, buying this setup has been a mission. It's taken about 9 months to date lol and Im still looking for a way to get a decent IR laser for the AR... Got my eyes on a MAWL, just not sure how to get it out of the states lol

02.01.2022 A couple more pics of the DBAL-PL IR laser thru thick fog. Best I can tell it's atleast 200-250meters.

01.01.2022 Pretty cold in sunny Cowra over the weekend.

01.01.2022 The censorship is strong on FB... FBs hate, makes them powerful!! I'm back after a unplanned 30 day FB holiday!!

01.01.2022 On my "WISH" list... For home D-Fence...
