09.01.2022 Message from the President Its fair to say the past few months have been challenging times for us all. Especially now with the border restrictions that have un...fortunately divided the wider Moama Echuca community in half. As a club, we have remained as positive through all of this. How fantastic has it been that the Junior Football Committee, Netball Committee, EDNA (Echuca District Netball Association) and Auskick have all been able to keep The Game alive for all our local juniors that live in Moama (from all local clubs). A great sight indeed watching all the kids running around doing what they love. Well done to everyone involved. Our Swoopstakes membership has been a great success this year and has been one of the initiatives we gained from our Terry Dillon Sports Administration Workshop that our committee completed earlier in the year. This along with other new-age initiatives and our loyal sponsors has the Moama Football Netball Club in a very healthy position moving forward into season 2021. Our Football department has been working hard, firstly coming to terms with the predicted change to the MFL salary cap, re-signing players, discussing prospective new players, and most importantly, keeping in touch with all our players through these trying times. Our committee has recently developed an Action Group - 2021 who are meeting regularly via zoom to discuss our structure, pathway, and strategy so we can be ready for next year and the challenges that will no doubt be presented to all community sporting clubs. The new Moama Recreation Reserve Facilities look fantastic and we are a very lucky club to be able to call them our new home. Apart from a few finishing touches, they are ready for us to move in. Our Moama based Footballers and Netballers have been invited to check them out and we cant wait until the day (post restrictions), that we can get the entire MFNC-Family down there to open them in style. With the support of some of our sponsors, we are running an online Community Raffle to show that even when divided due to the border restrictions we are One Community - All in this together. Details regarding our community raffle are on our website and the link below takes you there to purchase a $5 ticket. https://www.moamafootballnetballclub.com.au/mfnc-community- Thanks everyone for your support and stay safe. GO MOAMA. Matt Lake President #onecommunity #allinthistogether #everyonesclub

02.01.2022 Milk of human kindness The Riverine Herald 04 Sep 2020 Kyvalley Dairy Group donates to Brew4U coffee campaign... KYVALLEY Dairy Group is helping Moama Bowling Club and Echuca-Moamas coffee and cafe scene milk the takeaway market for all its worth. Some 16 coffee shops/cafes across the twin towns have signed up for Brew4U, the scheme where people can pay forward a coffee to help boost the local economy and to provide a hot drink for someone doing it a little harder than most. KDG national sales executive Yvette Hinton was in town this week to announce the familyowned, Kyabram-based business would provide two cartons of milk (12 x 2 litre containers) to every business participating in Brew4U for the next two weeks. As a family-owned business employing 150 people from the region we saw this as a simple yet valuable way of supporting the businesses and people of a supportive market of ours, Yvette said. The Mulcahy family, which owns the business, is very committed to community and we are delighted to help this exciting initiative. Moama Bowling Club marketing and sales manager George Santos said attracting sponsors such as KDG was what made the wheels turn in local economies. The Brew4U program has been embraced across Echuca and Moama, and even something as obvious as adding fresh milk makes a major difference to the cost base so we cannot thank the Kyvalley Dairy team enough for their support, George said. We are looking for more businesses to join Brew4U and they can contact me here at the Bowling Club for details.
