25.01.2022 Under 16’s & Under 17’s Training All prospective 2021 Under 16’s players are welcome and encouraged to attend the Under 16’s & Under 17’s training session tomorrow night. Training will start at 5:00pm at Brick Alley and will be conducted by new Under 17’s Coach Michael Rolfe. More training sessions and Under 16’s coaching announcements will be communicated after the Christmas and New Year period.

23.01.2022 Our AGM Monday night was a great success and saw some changes made to our committee. Several long-term committee people have stepped down from the committee due to their kids leaving the junior system. On that note, the MJFC would like to thank Brad & Suz Langborne, Wade & Amanda Hipwell, Brooke Keam, Kelly Cameron, Marty Baldwin, and Gavin Hope for their tireless work for our junior footy club over many years. Suz, Wade, and Brad have been the last three junior club Preside...nts and have overseen huge growth in the junior footy club from 2 Under 12's teams, fielding 48 kids to 7 junior teams in addition to the Moama MFL 14's and 17's, fielding 145 kids in 2021. Together over the past decade, they have contributed thousands of volunteer hours, providing football opportunities for our young people. The MJFC is delighted to have some new committee members join the 2021 committee to continue the fantastic momentum that the club has built. 21.01.2022 The Moama Football Netball Club values the heath and wellbeing of our community. Prior to Covid the MFNC identified the importance of support around all aspects heath and wellbeing to our players, coaches, parents and supporters on a range of topics. It was important to our club that this included supporting our community to discuss all aspects of maintaining good mental health. In early 2020 we were successful in receiving funding from the NSW Mental Health Sports Fund to ru...n a series of Mental Health Sessions to assist our club and community with education, resources and a safe environment to start a conversation. We are thrilled to announce Warren Davies - The Unbreakable Farmer will be speaking at our Mental Health Series Launch, 6.30pm on Thursday 20th May at the Moama Football Netball Club. The sessions are free, open to all community and includes a complementary dinner. Sessions are tailored to cater for the different age groups that our club supports, and with a junior 13-17 age group session being run from 6.30-7.30pm followed by a senior session from 7.30-8.30pm Feel free to reach out for more information at [email protected] This is a FREE event, due to COVIDSafe protocols all attendees must register to help with maintaining density limits and contact tracing. 15.01.2022 Our Under 14's played their final game last night, followed by some pizzas in the new club rooms. All players should be congratulated on the way they have conducted themselves over the past couple of months. 14.01.2022 We are very fortunate to have junior football re-commence this weekend. We all need to play our part to make sure we adhere to all protocols. These being: No more than the minimum number of participants required to conduct the training or game participate in the activity (e.g. players, necessary coaches, umpires and those required for supervision of children. Spectators are only permitted for the purposes of supervising children or dependents and should not gather in gr...oups of more than 10. No other general spectators. We will have COVID safe officers in place on the day, so please support these volunteers. 11.01.2022 2021 Moama Junior Football Club Coaches It's with great excitement that we advertise junior coaching positions as we all look forward to the 2021 season. The MJFC is seeking expressions of interest for the following positions:... 2 x Under 10's Coaches 2 x Under 12's Coaches 1 x Under 14's Coach 1 x Under 16's Coach 1 x Youth Girls Coach All prospective coaches are asked to write an application letter, outlining their coaching philosophy and why they are interested in applying for their chosen position. The MJFC will cover the costs of 2021 coaching accreditation for all coaches. All applications are to be emailed to [email protected]. Applications close at 5pm, Friday the 18th of December. 10.01.2022 With the split round this week we see our MFNL teams having the week off. As important as it is for our players to rest and recover, it's also important that our volunteers do as well. This means we will also take the week off from our regular Thursday night dinners. Never fear because next week we have an extra special Thursday night dinner. Warren Davies - The Unbreakable Farmer will be attending to support us on our mission to reduce the stigma around mental health and ...create a culture of support and openness. The dinner will be free and catered for by Two Tarts Catering . It's important that everyone attending register at http://thq.fyi/se/S2JKeCw to ensure we can report numbers to help us receive further funding to continue this work as well as contact tracing. If you are feeling a bit lost without footy to watch on Saturday, don't forget your membership offers reciprocal membership to attend games with Echuca Football Netball Club & the Echuca United Football Netball Club , who are playing Rumba at home. Come down for a snag and a cold drink, watch the seniors train, and catch up with your footy family. We would love to see all our sponsors, members, supporters, players, families, and anyone new thinking of joining the club this season. ... I've also heard a little rumour that Santa has been in contact with Luke Eldridge for some fitness tips as he gets ready for his big day, so you never know he might drop by to check out training as well. 04.01.2022 Our Under 12's finished off their season today with a game and a BBQ. It's been great seeing the kids out and about the last couple of weeks. Thanks to everyone involved, it takes a village to run a club and particularly so this year. Ben Hearn

03.01.2022 The MJFC is looking forward to celebrating a successful 2020 season (even in trying times) at our Annual General Meeting on Monday the 9th of November. 7 pm at the Club Rooms. We would love to see as many people as possible at the meeting to ensure the clubs strong future. We understand not everyone can take on a large role but encourage every to come and be part of the season to ensure that every kid who wants to play in Moama gets the opportunity. ... If there was ever a time to get on board it's now, strong structured committee, great new facilities, and lots of experienced people involved to help you learn if required. If you are new to the club, have young kids, or have always felt a bit unsure about putting your hand up, maybe try a volunteer role this year and see how you like it. You never know might be the best thing you do. As always contact tracing, social distancing, and hand hygiene requirements will be in place and we ask anyone unwell to stay home and we can chat again when you are well.

02.01.2022 Due to the long weekend and subsequent bye for all of our GCJFL & SDJFL junior teams, there will be no Under 10's training tomorrow (Wednesday) Night. Under 12's will be having a intraclub practice match at Brick Alley. Please make sure all players are at the ground by 5pm and that they bring helmets (provided if you don't have one), mouthguards and drink bottles. The Under 14's, Under 16's and Youth Girls will be training as per normal, unless otherwise advised by their coac...h. Have a great week and long weekend.

Here is our current plan for the rest of the season, but of course make sure you keep an eye on the Facebook page as weather, coaches availability, and other things might change during the time.
