15.01.2022 New iPad Pro 2018 Apple launched two new iPad Pro models at its 'There's More in the Making' event. The two models (now available in 11in and 12.9in screen sizes) are available to order now and will go on sale on 7 November. The home button is out and Face ID is in on Apple's new premium tablets, available in 11- and 12.9-inch sizes. iPad Pro 12.9 will start at $799 / 769 / AU$1,229, and comes in variety of configurations.. The next storage size up is 256GB, which starts ...at $949 / 919 / AU$1,449, followed by 512GB for $1,149 / 1,119 / AU$1,749. Top of the heap is the 1TB version, which costs a whopping $1,549 / 1,519 / AU$2,349. The two models announced have a new design featuring rounded corners, thinner bezels and a slightly slimmer profile. The home button is gone, replaced by Apple's Face ID authentication technology, and the Lightning port and headphone jack are out, replaced by USB-C. As on the X, the new Pros have smaller bezels, and while these devices aren't quite all-screen, they are getting pretty close. The displays are also curved at the corners, enabling them to come much closer to the edge. No screen space is taken up by a Home button: that has disappeared entirely, and as we will discuss in a moment, the new tablets now use Face ID instead of Touch ID. The new iPads are also slightly slimmer: they are both 5.9mm thick, a fractional shaving from the 6.1mm on the 10.5in model (which remains on sale) and a small but noticeable reduction from the old 12.9in model's 6.9mm. The Mate 20 Pro will be the version that gets the most attention, and is likely to be lusted after the ...most. A glimpse of the design shows a glossy, glassy, curvy phone without a fingerprint sensor on the back. The render indicates Huawei will also sell a set of Apple AirPods-like wireless headphones, and the rumor is the battery can be recharged wirelessly using the Mate 20 Pro itself. Huawei has put in an order for 6.9-inch OLED screens with Samsung, and they’re destined for use on a smartphone, not a small tablet. And in addition to a massive display, the P20 Pro will reportedly have an in-display fingerprint sensor that we first saw on the Porsche Design Huawei Mate RS.
