04.01.2022 Mobile GP is a social, charitable project which is established and run by doctors who care deeply about improving access to medical care for people, throughout Australia, who cannot readily come to a GP at a medical clinic. We seek to help people find a GP who is willing to see them in their home, on an ongoing basis, AND to really help that GP continue to deliver that service in viable and sustainable way. We believe that Mobile GP will have a major positive impact on the ...lives of many vulnerable people in Australia. Mobile GP knows how much some people out there in the community are struggling to get regular medical care because they cannot get to a medical clinic. These people may include the elderly, frail, disabled and victims of motor vehicle accidents. There are many more. They may live in their private homes, share houses and boarding houses. The location can be varied, but the need remains the same - for a caring, dedicated GP who will be able to visit them on a regular basis. A GP who will help them coordinate their medical care. Mobile GP also understands the challenges faced by the doctors who are involved. Those GPs who do regular home visits are to be respected, promoted and supported. This is also an objective of Mobile GP. We want to find GPs who are willing to deliver mobile care, and support them as best as we can - financially and beyond. Australia wide. Mobile GP is a division of Atticus Health - a recognised organisation which owns and runs medical clinics in Victoria.

02.01.2022 A note to my fellow GPs Australia wide... Hi all, After many years working as a GP, I've always found doing home visits for patients (young and old) who are genuinely housebound to be a very rewarding, helpful, yet under done thing. I’m not talking about after hours locum visits here. Rather, I’m talking about being an ongoing, regular GP for any patient who, for very good reasons, cannot get to a medical clinic. This particularly relates to helping ageing patients to live li...fe to their full potential, including their last days, at home. There is a genuine need for this, which could be better met. Often times, such patients don’t really have a GP at all. At the same time, I acknowledge that doing such home visits, in the present system, is very difficult to make viable and doesn’t stack up against seeing patients in a clinic. Changing that landscape is something my team and I are passionate about and therefore through a division of our company, Atticus Health, we'll be supporting any GP around Australia who's willing to genuinely serve this population. 100% percent of any Medicare billings will go directly to the GP. We will provide the IT, admin, reception, professional networking - the whole shebang as far as we can do it from afar (we're based in Victoria). The project is called Mobile GP.
