AND thank you to our local MP Matt Fregon for being there for us from the get go and helping us through this challenging process ... . . . Mocha Jo’s Covid Update... Firstly we want to express a BIG FAT THANK YOU to every single one of you that has reached out overnight, the support is overwhelming ! How lucky we are to be surrounded by family & friends and a community that does not hesitate to fiercely protect us in times of need. We’ve had a hectic year at Mocha Jo’s but the biggest positive for us is to watch how our team unite and connect, always coming together stronger and more positive and more committed. It’s a really beautiful thing Regarding the positive case that has been confirmed as visiting our premises, firstly we wish her all the best for a speedy recovery. DHHS have now finally confirmed with us the following (information as of 11am, Thu Dec 31): She visited on Monday 28th at 1.30pm for no longer than 15 minutes She picked up take away and was not a dine in customer The risk of exposure to other customers and staff on premise at that time is considered negligible DHHS have advised us that no further action is required at this stage. It is important to be aware that WE WERE NEVER REQUIRED TO CLOSE OUR RESTAURANT, it was our choice to do so, to give our staff the opportunity to get tested. 05.01.2022 Our little hood has been hit again #covidsux We are still awaiting advice from the relevant authorities, although we have been notified that there has been a confirmed coronavirus case visit our premises. At this stage, this does not mean that there is an ongoing risk associated with the premises, and we can still safely operate in line with current restrictions. HOWEVER as a precaution, we are closing tomorrow (thurs 31st) and Friday 1st. We have asked our team members to... get Covid tested and we have arranged for a deep clean of the restaurant. We believe this is the right thing to do. We will work with DHHS advice and will do whatever we can to help protect our amazing local community.
