Do: Wash your hands immediately if you accidentally... touch the mask Change the mask when it becomes moist Change the mask if sprayed or splashed on, or contaminated with blood or body fluids Wash your hands if you need to remove the mask. Put the mask into a bin and put another mask on. 02.01.2022 As Facebook followers will be aware on Friday, the Council advised that the swings, monkey bars and trolley ride on the Senior Play Equipment at Wentworth Falls... Lake were removed due to safety concerns with the softfall. Council Officers also told us that there were no plans to replace or repair the softfall or the equipment as this playground is due to be fully upgraded in 6-12 months time. I am concerned that this is too long for this equipment at a District Park to be out of action. And so, after taking a quick first-hand look on my morning walk in the rain, I am seeking to bring forward this urgency motion: 1. That the Council notes: - Wentworth Falls Lake is one of four district parks in the Blue Mountains, which is heavily used by children and families from our local government area as well as visitors from Sydney and beyond - Council received a safety audit in the week beginning 20 July, that revealed the rubberised softfall for the Senior Play Equipment at Wentworth Falls Lake is not-compliant for certain impact falls - in response Council removed the swings, monkey bars and track-ride/trolley ride on Friday 24 July to manage the risk of injury to children - because the play equipment is due to be upgraded in 12 months time, the current advice from officers is there are no plans to replace softfall which will leave key elements of the play equipment out of action in a popular District Park for a year or more. 2. That the Council receives an urgent briefing on options to replace/repair the softfall and reinstall the swings, monkey bars and track-ride/trolley ride so that children can continue to use of the Senior Play Equipment at Wentworth Falls Lake, until such time as the Council is ready to fully upgrade the play equipment in a years time.
