25.01.2022 Mod Foods Roast Beef and Vegetables. All pureed and molded.

07.01.2022 Do you have a loved one who needs a texture modified diet. Mod Foods molds their products. Why is molding food beneficial? As we all know we eat with our eyes. Presentation of food is paramount to wanting to eat. This then helps to maximize nutritional intake.... Food often contributes to a person’s emotional nourishment and quality of life. If a texture modified meal resembles the meal of other diners on a regular diet, it can encourage inclusion to want to join in the social event of dining. All Mod Food items are cooked, texture modified, minced, pureed by our chef following IDDSI guidelines. All food items are then molded to resemble what you would expect it to look like i.e. a serve of peas pureed, presents as a serve of peas, carrots pureed present as a serve of carrots. All meats, vegetables and rice items are frozen and individually packaged. Why is the practice of individual packaging beneficial? The customer orders/buys only their items of choice and the amounts needed. As products are frozen, bulk buying for the week ahead is a good practice. Allergies, likes and dislikes are considered. You don’t buy what you won’t eat. The customer creates their own menu for the week ahead - knowing that the items bought are safe to eat. The customer gets to ‘design’ the meal plate with the various chooses they have ordered. Arranges the meal on the plate, covers with cling wrap and microwaves to heat. When meal is heated the sauce/gravy of choice (heated prior to meal plate) is added to the meal.
