21.01.2022 REVITALISATION // Today in Boonah, we celebrated the official opening of the Boonah Town Centre Revitalisation project. MODE has been involved since 2016, working closely with Scenic Rim Regional Council to deliver this key community infrastructure project that improves accessibility and biodiversity, and provides a 'green heart' to the town centre. The project has received great praise from Mayor Greg Christensen and Hon Scott Buchholz MP, who were both in attendance to open... the project today. The project features works by several local artists, commissioned to relay stories about Boonah's indigenous, agricultural and ecological past, present and future. The numerous artworks throughout the site form part of the wider heritage and public art trails throughout High Street precinct with the aim of creating visual connections around the town center. Congratulations to MODE's Landscape Architecture team and the larger team of consultants, builders, artists and Scenic Rim Regional Council on this success. #officiallyopen #boonahtowncentrerevitalisation #scenicrim #landscapearchitecturemode #communityinfrastrcture

15.01.2022 WYNNUM SHS // The New Learning Centre at Wynnum State High School is a compact double storey General Learning Area (GLA) which includes four new learning spaces and a resource centre on the upper level. Operable walls define the spaces and allow the learning areas to be combined into a variety of sizes to suit the needs of the school. Overlooking the adjacent park and located in the north eastern corner of the site, heritage listed trees and tree protection presented an interesting challenge for the design team. With the built form and columns needing to be located away from the root zone, the design developed to include an intricate trussed roof structure, highlighting the building entry. #educationmode #learningmode #modebrisbane : Andrew Carter Photography

14.01.2022 RAGLAN ST // Not always the most glamorous of projects we deliver as Architects, amenities buildings provide a necessary and well appreciated benefit to the community. MODE Sydney's multidisciplinary team of architects and landscape architects was engaged by Mosman Council to design a modern ‘urbanistic’ public amenity building to replace the existing amenities structure. With natural light and ventilation a key driver of the design, the structure incorporates brick, sustainable timer screening elements and a (soon to be) green wall, creating a sheltered enclosure and weather protected access from all sides. : Yatrik Patel
