25.01.2022 Modeinas Decorating Tips Organising spaces Now that were in lockdown again, its a great time to do a thorough clean throughout the house. Cleaning out pantries, linen cupboards and wardrobes are a great starting point.... Sort and cull items that no longer fit, you havent worn for some time or no longer love. You can look at selling these, swap with a friend or give to charity. Same applies to linen cupboards, swap, sell or donate to local pet charities who are always looking for towels and sheets. Clean out the pantry and throw out anything that is past its use by date. Another great idea is to decanter items into containers, you can see what you have more clearly and are less likely to have wasted food items. Other great areas to focus on when you have some downtime is desk areas, bookshelves and paper clutter. Dont forget a good dust on tops of cabinets, walls and skirtings.
25.01.2022 Modeinas Wellness for Your Home Be guided by your senses A beautiful scent, a favourite print or some music will instantly deliver calmness and positivity into a space and mind. A diffuser running in the home allows you to mix up a scent depending on your needs, find an essential oil that resonates with you and gives you a sense of happiness, or one that provides you with an energy boost when needed. ... Surround yourself with a few prints or photos which evokes a positive emotion and provide a sense of happiness you can lean into. This goes for music as well; find or make a playlist you enjoy and have this running in the background will automatically lift your spirits.
24.01.2022 Modeinas Top Decorating Tips Make it personal Your home is a reflection of you - not the latest trends, so incorporate colours and patterns that make you smile and feel uplifted. A splash of colour via shatter cushions or a bright vase of flowers goes a long way into adding colour into a space on a dreary day, or moving some furniture around freshens up a space.... These small changes do not need to be expensive, so think about items you already that you could give a quick makeover to, such as painting a basket, vase or side table in a colour that you love.
24.01.2022 Modeinas Gardening Tips When you look outside this time of year the last thing you feel like doing is standing out in the cold, wet and windy weather, especially if you live in the cooler areas. Dont let this put you off. There is so much to do in the garden and a lot more to do in the garden shed. Get off the couch and put on the thermals, the beanie, a coat and your gumboots and warm yourself up with some winter garden love. Its bare root season! Get your deciduous... fruit trees in now, including apples, pears, plums, peaches and nectarines. Deciduous exotic trees can also be planted now. Theres still a bit happening in the veggie patch, especially if you love your brassicas, you could try spinach, carrots, sweet peas, broad beans, coriander and peas. Delish!
24.01.2022 Modeina Gardening Tips Life really start ramping up festive wise at this time of year, and things are certainly starting to bear fruit in your patch, its December! Hopefully you’ve already put in loads of produce plants but it’s not too late to get some more growing, especially if you’ve had the pleasure of already harvesting some plants. Keep up the good work in the garden despite the rising heat there’s still plenty to do this month in your patch. It’s a great time... of year in the garden, and it’s not too late to pop these into the herb patch: dill, basil, chives, parsley, rosemary, pyrethrum, sage and thyme. Pop some mint into a couple of pots good to grow now but it can take over if planted in the patch! Add some of these highly productive plants to your patch this month; carrots, cucumber, eggplants, lettuce, French beans, leeks, pumpkins, silverbeet, squash, sweet corn and zucchini. Enjoy!

23.01.2022 Modeinas Top DIY Projects for Your Home Its Time for a Paint Job Thanks to social-distancing regulations, were all spending way more time at home. So why not take advantage of the opportunity to roll up your sleeves and tackle a few value-adding DIY projects around the house. ... Give one or more walls a burst of brilliant depth (or wash away your decorating sins with virgin white) just by picking up a paint can and repainting them. Or simply touch up on any scuffed or marked paintwork around the house. Places such as skirting boards and door frames are usually the first to show some wear, and its amazing what a fresh coat of paint can do. But dont forget to use masking tape to ensure crisp, straight lines around tricky areas like switches and sockets. For more great home DIY tips visit => http://ow.ly/XQKz50zWzEI

It's Water Safety Week and as the weather warms up we need to aim to reduce the number of drowning incidents in Victoria over the summer period. Supervision is constant visual contact with your child. Make sure you are in a position to respond quickly by keeping children under 5 years within arms’ reach and children under 10 years always in sight. ... Supervision is not an occasional glance while you read or undertake household chores, and it is not looking outside at your kids playing while you are inside. 01.01.2022 Modeinas Top DIY Projects for Your Home Wallpaper Wonders If youre feeling bold and want to tackle a bigger makeover, why not take the plunge and redecorate a room with wallpaper? You dont even have to cover every wall to make a dramatic change. Papering only a single wall will do, and will also make the project more affordable. Plus it will reduce the time, effort and mess of papering an entire room.... Whether you want to try papering an alcove, a feature wall, or the whole room, be sure to prep the area well and buy enough rolls of paper to allow for pattern matching and any mistakes. Some papers can be hard to hang, especially fabrics, rolls with uncut edges and other designer papers. Always check the hanging instructions and ask the salesperson about the difficulty level. If youre a novice paperhanger or fall in love with a super-expensive paper, consider hiring a professional. For more great home DIY tips visit => http://ow.ly/3lpF50zWzDg
