15.01.2022 Trent Challenger (son of Club stalwart Ralf) and wife Elizabeth have been announced as 2020 Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Local Hero Award recipients in the Roma Region. Trent and Elizabeth own the St. George Bakery. Club members on previous outback runs would have called into the bakery for a pastry treat. 15.01.2022 Just came across a brass Model A water pump. Maybe off a marine or stationary engine. Has any one ever seen one. It does not hVe bearings. Has a bronze bush with grease grooves. Any ideas.

09.01.2022 The Wednesday Warriors had a lovely day out to visit new club member Peter Clark at his Nerang home. We all inspected his great pickup from Western Australia with its beautiful Jarrah rear. Afterwards all enjoyed a lunch at Hinz Dam. Most had not been there before.

04.01.2022 The Same Car for 82 Years This person had a great start in life, an early exotic present. Mr. Allen Swift: Born - 1908 - Died 2010... This man owned and drove the same car for 82 years. Can you imagine even having the same car for 82 years? Mr. Allen Swift (Springfield, Massachusetts) received this 1928 Rolls-Royce Piccadilly-P1 Roadster from his father, brand new - as a graduation gift in 1928. He drove it up until his death ... at the age of 102. He was the oldest living owner of a car that was purchased new. It is a Rolls Royce Phantom I 1928. It was donated to a Springfield museum after his death. It has 1,070,000 miles on it, still runs like a Swiss watch, dead silent at any speed and is in perfect cosmetic condition. 82 years - Thats approximately 13,048 miles per year (1087 per month). 1,070,000 thats miles not kilometres. Thats British engineering of a bygone era. They dont make them like this anymore.
