Bringing home 4th in Fitness with a cracking routine, 2nd in the Figure Pro division & 1st in Physique earning her a second pro card We are proud of her achievements this weekend but even more proud of what an amazing person she is. So humble, gracious, elegant & classy. This girl is what this sport is about... she trains & eats like an athle...te all year round whilst still enjoying the balance lifestyle that she leads. She doesn’t spend thousands on bikini’s, tanning, hair & makeup, she does most of that herself (with the help of her fabulous husband/tan man) She let’s her physique do the talking and conducts herself professionally no matter what is thrown at her along the way. 02.01.2022 Recently we had a client send us a copy of their Body Scan results and a comparison of those results to the results before they started. Needless to say, I understood why they were feeling frustrated and upset with how they now thought they looked after training so hard for so long 20 weeks. The factors that were upsetting- little to no change in overall weight, only 1.4kg of fat lost, gain of .3kg muscle mass a total of 2% drop in BF%. This is why we skin fold all our clien...ts. I once used a Body Scan machine during Comp prep. I was measured at 13.8% BF before my first meal. As a test I measured again directly after my first meal (2 eggs & 4 egg whites & half a cup of oats) and a glass of water I came in at 24% BF & lost 2kg of muscle lol. The point is, these machines are a total misrepresentation of reality. Using these machines, scales and or a measuring tape is also a misrepresentation of reality. The only way you can confidently track, measure & compare muscle gain & fat loss is by consistently taking skin folds. After going through our clients progress this is the actual result: Almost doubled calories from original meal plan that was lacking in micro nutrients, vitamins, minerals and basically flavour. Increased strength on all lifts. Kept weight stable Dropped in BF% of 5% BF from 11.4kg to 8.7kg Added 2.6kg on lean mass & did I mentions we doubled her calories??? At 3 months out we are in the perfect position to peel off BF whilst keeping foods high, continuing to gain strength, keeping cardio minimal, giving some down time from training. End result, lean muscular physique that is sustainable, high energy and no stress. Now we just got to get her to trust the process and stay away from scales & BS guess machines.
