Because of the stupidity/ineptitude/plain downright dumbness of the "technician" installing the NBN (Nothing But Numbskulls) and in spite of us confirming, three times, that we wished to retain our landline, he changed it! 24.01.2022 In a normal non-covid world we would have just returned from the long weekend in Melbourne attending the Australian Model Expo, the Australian Plastic and Scale Model Champoinships, the three day event that we look forward to all year. Our comiserations to the organising committee, who do a tremendous job, our best wishes to all the other traders who with us look to the event as an opportunity to renew annual greetings and especially to all the modellers, local, interstate an...d a healthy dose of Kiwis who we love to catch up with on this occasion. It will be back and we will be there for it. In the mean time we hope that the postponed Mega Toy Fair that was to have been on the previous weekend at Wayville here in Adelaide will be going ahead either at the end of September or October, whenever we get the OK, remembering that the Royal Show in Adelaide which was to be September 4th to 13th, has been cancelled. 01.01.2022 As you all may now know the Mega Toy Fair at Wayville has also been cancelled. Mega organiser and all 'round good chap Andreas Flenche and his willing bunch of volunteers are the most disappointed. Andreas had hoped to postpone until a later date but all things considered it became almost impossible considering time to organise, include interstate people in what is the biggest event of its' kind in Australia and find a date that would suit the Showgrounds. It will be back.
