23.01.2022 Yay Team Abbie AbbieSurfs....
22.01.2022 Recent drawing of Josh and Border Collie for his 18th birthday.
22.01.2022 UPDATE - ADOPTED TODAY 14.11.20 THIS STORY BROKE OUR HEARTS... We were contacted by someone needing help... they needed to surrender a 'much loved' cat... ... Well we realised the reason why this cat had to be surrendered, wasn't because the owner grew tired of it, or 'moving interstate' or going on a long holiday... this cat, this darling ex-rescue 7 year old boy needed to be surrendered due to the owner he loved, and who loved him... was going into palliative care. The person who assisted the sick owner and wrote to us, lived in Canberra, & last Saturday drove all the way to pick up Felix & surrender him at his council pound... 2 Rose St she cried all the way back to Canberra. She was devastated, Felix confused... if you are interested in adopting, he needs to be an only cat... if you have a loving home, a spot next to you on the sofa & looking for a friendly companion... please go say hello. Pound opens 9am Saturday PLEASE SHARE THIS POST... it would be just magic if with your help Felix finds a loving forever home! He is waiting at the Animal Care Facility 2 Rose St (off Blaxland Rd), Campbelltown 2560 Opening hours: Monday-Friday: 10.00am - 4.00pm Saturday: 9.00am - 2.00pm Sunday and public holidays: Closed Business & AH hours phone: 02 4645 4790 Rehoming organisation number: R251000115T
22.01.2022 DOG SOCIETY PRESS BEAT THE HEAT this week-end Thank you @sydneyanimalhospitals for this very important message #... #Repost @sydneyanimalhospitals (@get_repost) Tips to keep your Pets safe in hot weather Make sure your pet has lots of water & that the bowl is sitting in the shade. - The night before, fill a container with water, sprinkle dry food, then freeze & give to your pet on a hot day. - Leave them with a wet towel to sit on. - A child’s plastic seashell sand pit make a great pool for a dog. If you can bring your pet inside in air-conditioning is always best. - If you have no shade or air-conditioning, you could look into day boarding at your local vets for the day #doggydaycare Especially Pugs, French bulldogs, Cavalier King Charles and other short nosed (brachycephalic breeds). Never leave pets unattended in a car. Wait till the night when it has cooled down to take your dog for a walk. If the ground is too hot for your bare feet, then it’s too hot for you’re pets paws too. If you have an aviary, you can purchase mist sprinklers for the top of your aviary to keep your birds cool on a hot day. Rabbits & guinea pigs do not sweat therefore cannot regular their body temperature. Heat affects them the most, best to keep them in aircon on hot days. Warning signs of heat stress include panting excessively, moving sluggishly, acting woozy, drooling, vomiting or losing consciousness. If you observe any of these signs, call your local veterinarian immediately. See more
