24.01.2022 A little trip down memory lane as i was looking for some previous simulation studies and found these. This is a project MPS designed and completed several years ago. We used 3D design tools to model and simulate the project before stepping onsite. needless to say the project went well and offered a considerable Safety, cost and quality benefits. #MPSDesign #modernprojectsolutions

17.01.2022 An early morning start to kick off another project that has never been done before. We are at Lucinda removing the loading chute off the ship loader. This hasn'...t been removed since its commissioning in 1978. With no access to cranes, we designed and bolted on a landing frame nicknamed the "lunar Module" to safety support and land the 10,000kg load. We lowered onto the lady Fraser barge and it made the 6km Journey back to shore. . Everything is now onshore while we carry out important maintenance activities to ensure it works for many more years. Modern Project Solutions

16.01.2022 Completed New conveyor drive system upgrade.

16.01.2022 New Gearbox Bearings Fitted. The shaft is bigger that the bearing by 0.08mm so we used the induction heater to heat the bearing to 120 degrees. We want the bearing to expand under heat to be bigger than the shaft by 0.15mm before dropping it on and letting it cool. Matty machined the new hardened sleeves on the lathe. we had to get some ceramic cutting tips to get this job done. the final product was spot on.

15.01.2022 MPS have recently completed a conveyor upgrade project installing new rollers. the Project also included the design, manufacture and installation of new anti-splash shields which can be safely and quickly swung out of the way for cleaning and maintenance. The Brackets were laser-cut and pressed by NEM Group Pty Ltd and shields made from recycled plastic wood composite material manufactured in Australia from 100% re-purposed materials. This Project ticks all the Boxes that m...akes it a successful project. Solves a problem. Increasing safety. lessen environmental impact Utilising technology and innovative approaches. Its intersting to see how Ai Technology simulates natural structures to develop complex geometry.
