20.01.2022 I have had a few inquiries about the use of bite opening splints and would like to share some thoughts. I'm not sure if you experience the same, but almost ever...y week, I meet patients that have worn the same dentures far too long, often decades, without any kind of denture maintenance. To make new dentures, we need to re-establish the proper vertical dimensions. Sometimes I use a bite opening splint as a preparatory step before therapeutic or SEMCD dentures. Currently, four of my patients are wearing these removable splints to rebuild their faces. 14.01.2022 3D... 3D 40m 10 "Suction is one of the indicators of good fit that both the patient and the surgeon can feel." Today, a set of 3D printed therapeutic dentures. When I measure a 3D printed dentures, It is calm with deformation within about 40 m. With this accuracy, if you feel the suction with an impression, you can feel the suction in the final. I think that further verification is needed to determine how much accuracy is required in clinical practice. However, this patient has not had dentures for more than 10 years, so training is essential.
