25.01.2022 ***ATTENTION*** In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and and the state government declaring Victoria a State Of emergency, Moe Angling Field and Game club has decided to follow in the footsteps of Clunes FGA, Kyabram FGA, Colac FGA and other clubs alike NOT to go ahead with our shoot this weekend. This decision was not made lightly and is made in best interest of the health of all Moe FGA and Field and Game Australia members. The committee from Moe Angling field and game, would like to encourage all our members to exercise healthy hygiene practices such as washing your hands throughly, and covering your coughs and sneezes. 25.01.2022 Thank god it's Friday! So another week has passed, meaning we are another week closer to getting out for a shot. This weeks footage features Field & Game Austra...lia's Development Manager Daryl Snowdon shooting at Bairnsdale Field & Game on 14th July 2019. Interesting to see the difference orange and green targets make against the different backgrounds. On one side of the ground (Station #2) the green targets almost disappear, while on the other side (Station #7) they are more visible. Orange would probably been a better choice on both stations, what are your thoughts? And yes, for those of you that know, or have shot with Daryl, he did indeed shoot 4 springers in the one round, don't ask how many got missed in the other rounds. On second thoughts, go ahead and ask, I'm sure he would love to relive it! 24.01.2022 2021 VICTORIAN DUCK SEASON ALTERATIONS ! The 2021 Victorian Duck Season has been changed from 2 birds per day to 5 birds per day. With the TEAL location restrictions now lifted.

23.01.2022 Our monthly shoot will be held this Sunday the 15th of March at our Longford Range. Shooting commences at 930am and a full canteen will be operating. This will ...be a 50 target graded event, and the ladies at the canteen will be selling tickets in the monthly shoot raffle. On Saturday morning we will be setting the Range. Your assistance from around 9am until noon would be greatly appreciated. Lunch will be provided for the helpers.

We are limited to 60 shooters, 3 x 5 stand you will shoot one ground then straight away move to the next, once finished all 3 grounds we require you to depart the range as soon as practicable. PRE nomination will be required. To nominate simply text after 6pm call Andrew Sultana 0410023715. We will require Your name, membership number and phone number. Squa...d will be allocated and start times given. Please arrive at the range 15 minutes prior to your allocated start time, pay the money, collect your scorecard. If you wish to nominate as a squad or as a group can one person representing that group please make the call for each shooter with there Membership number and phone number.. Payment cash only at the ground. All Covid 19 precautions and sanitation must be adhered to. Sanitizer will be supplied around the course and at the office. No canteen available at this stage. 20.01.2022 Sorry we haven't put anything up for a while, we're in limbo at the moment. We're waiting on our planning and building permit for shed and toilet so we can't s...tart work on them. Our biggest issue at the moment is our boundary fence. We've been told that we need to get a permit to clear the fence line, this is because our boundary isn't a title boundary. We're told the best chance of getting a permit is to have a report done and if approved purchase a land offset. Rough quotes on going down this path are $70,000 - $80,000 plus clearing and fencing, which we simply don't have the money for this. The upside is that the East Gippsland Shire are trying to secure funding to cover this. We have asked EGSC, DELWP and Victoria Police to come together to find a mutually acceptable way forward for us as they are the government departments we must comply with. Individually they have all been trying to help but they need to consult with each other. We are still having 4WD's and motorbikes ignoring signs, removing star pickets and entering our grounds. We want to install some really serious bollards across the old track they use by and make it too daunting for them to contemplate pulling out. If anyone has some old railway track or similar they'd like to donate it would really help us. We've had some steel donated but need more. Thanks to the generous donations we've received we have some money in the bank but because we don't know what it will cost just to meet the council and government requirements for boundaries and toilet we need to minimise our costs wherever possible. Due to the boundary issue we cannot hold shoots and therefore have no income, which doesn't help the situation. We're working hard behind the scenes to get these issues resolved and try to get back to some sort of normality. When the fire went through 10 months ago if you'd have told me we'd struggle to be up and running in a years time I wouldn't have believed them! We continue to try to move forward, thank you everyone for your support.

19.01.2022 Thank you to the clubs and individuals that have donated to us or promised donations. We are using some of this money to buy some building materials, and suppl...ies for the club. We have purchased a tank stand to put the skeet high house on when the time comes and weve also ordered 5 new voice release microphones which will make our little DTL practices a bit easier. The cleanup hasnt yet started in town so it will still be a while before we can start rebuilding properly but were trying to get the groundwork done now so when the time comes we cam move forward quickly. Watch this space!

16.01.2022 Further restrictions to stop the spread of COVID-19 make it impossible to run Australian Simulated Field Competitions, novelty events and practice. All events f...or this weekend have been cancelled and we expect it could be some time before branches can resume, even on a smaller scale, given the restrictions imposed nationally and additional measures taken by individual state and territory governments. Equally, the strict rules on gatherings of any kind and unnecessary travel means no working bees or face to face branch meetings. While no specific measures or advice has been announced regarding hunting, these activities are still impacted by the clear and unequivocal advice to restrict movement and social contact which is; "Australians should stay at home, unless shopping for essentials, travelling to and from work - where you cannot work from home, going to school and exercising. Keep visitors to your home at a minimum. In outdoor spaces do not congregate in groups. The Field & Game Australia Board encourages all branches and members to stay safe and well. While we deal with this unprecedented health crisis, the most important thing is protecting yourself and your family. If it is safe and practical to do so; branches and individual members are encouraged to reach out to vulnerable members to ensure they get any assistance they need. Membership renewals are important because there will be a lot of work to do when this crisis is over. We understand that some members will be suffering financial hardship.
