25.01.2022 Good Afternoon All, We would just like to remind you that this Friday, the 23rd October 2020, we will be closed due to the Grand Final Public Holiday. We hope you enjoy the Public Holiday and we'll see you again next week! Thanks!!

24.01.2022 Good Evening, We would like to send our deepest condolences to the families of the four police officers, as well as the Victorian Police who were killed in a tragic accident this week. Everybody, please be safe and cautious. We thank you, Victorian Police, for doing all that you do to keep us all safe.

21.01.2022 The mask rules have been a little bit confusing since our update on the weekend. We hope this helps settle some of the confusion for you all!

21.01.2022 Happy New Year! We hope you all had a safe new year and spent it with loved ones. Today we don't have some very positive news, we came to the shop today and were greeted with this mess. While we absolutely appreciate community support and involvement at our Op Shop, we don't appreciate being left these donations while we do have a 'NO Donations' sign at the door. A lot of the things that were donated are things that we do not accept therefore it has now become our responsibil...ity to get rid of it in the most appropriate way. We do ask that you contact us before providing us with Donations and if you do leave some, please be considerate and make some effort to avoid a huge mess and to allow us to actually enter our workplace. We will be advertising what we do and don't accept as our Op Shop is reopening for 2021 but will not be accepting certain objects and things as we are only opening up the front instead of the whole building as an Op Shop. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know. Again, we appreciate the support but would also appreciate some consideration for the things that are left and how it is left. Have a great day and we will see you soon! See more

18.01.2022 Well done Victorians! We can see the light at the end of the tunnel. More Restrictions will ease at 11.59pm Tuesday (27th Oct 2020), please make sure you stick within the rules so we can keep this trend going down! Woohoo!

17.01.2022 Hi everybody! We just wanted to let you know that we are closed on Friday as it is Good Friday! We would like to wish you all a Happy Easter!

11.01.2022 Good Afternoon All, as you would have heard for anybody in the Metropolitan Area of Melbourne, it is MANDATORY for masks to be worn. This is not compulsory for Regional Areas as of yet, but we ask that you do please wear them on campus anyway, to protect everybody onsite. This would be appreciated. Hopeworks will not be providing masks, so please ensure that you all have one by Wednesday 11.59pm! If you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms, please DO NOT come to work and please notify us immediately. Thanking you all for your support!

08.01.2022 Hello, We would like to notify all of our customers that our Op Shop is not open to the public as of yet. You will be the first to be notified when everything settles down and we are given the all clear!

08.01.2022 We are all going through a difficult time at the moment and today, on R U OK? Day, we want to let you know that it's OK to not be OK. It is OK to reach out for help when you need too and it's ok to put a pause on situations, friendships or work environments that aren't serving you well. Here at Hopeworks, we are ALWAYS here for you, to listen and to help in anyway we can.

07.01.2022 Good Morning All! As I'm sure many of you would've seen, as of August 2nd (This Sunday) at 11.59pm, it is mandatory for everybody, throughout the state of Victoria. Therefore as of Monday 3rd August, we require all students to wear a mask to our programs. Anybody without a mask will be sent home, if you have a medical explanation for not wearing a mask, we will require a doctors certificate. Without a doctors certificate, you will be unable to attend. Texts will also be going out today! Have a great day everybody!

06.01.2022 They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. Lest We Forget

04.01.2022 Good Evening, we would like to let you all know that our Moe Bazaar and Thrift Shop will no longer be operating until further notice. 03.01.2022 Good Afternoon All, We would like to let all current students know that their shifts (to abide by social distancing and all government guidelines) have been sent out to all parents/guardians. If your student is in the program and has not heard from Mel, please contact [email protected] - so we can organise the shift for your student. If you've received the text/call and need some clarification, please contact [email protected] - Have a great day and see you all next week. Thanks! The Hopeworks Team

02.01.2022 Well, well, well.. look what we have here! We are BACK in the local newspaper! We are honoured that we were approached for a new article and love that our students were involved! We hope you've seen it and love it as much as we do!

02.01.2022 Good Afternoon All, I hope you're all well. We just wanted to notify you all that due to the COVID 5 Day Lockdown that is being implemented as of 11.59pm tonight until 11.59pm Wed 17th Feb 2021, we will be suspending our Hopeworks programs for Mon, Tues and Wed next week. Given how unpredictable these circumstances are, we just wanted to let you all know, regardless of whether your program falls on Mon-Wed or not, to be cautious of this lockdown extending any longer. This loc...kdown includes Regional as well as Metro-Melb. For those who are unaware of the restrictions, I have copied and pasted below: The restrictions include: There will only be four reasons to leave your home shopping for necessary supplies, care or caregiving, permitted work or education that cannot be done from home and exercise for two hours a day. The 5km travel rule will again apply, with Victorians not allowed to travel further from their home without a permitted reason. Exercise will be permitted with household members, an intimate partner or one other person. Masks must be worn everywhere other than inside your home. No visitors will be allowed to homes. Public gatherings are not permitted. Crowds will also be banned from the Australian Open. If you can work from home, then you must work from home. Schools will close but will remain available over those three days Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for vulnerable children or for the children of those who are permitted to go to work. Child care and early childhood centres will remain open. Universities and higher education facilities are closed. Religious gatherings and ceremonies are not permitted and places of worship are closed other than for broadcasting of services. Funerals can involve no more than 10 people, both indoors and outdoors. Weddings are not permitted unless on compassionate grounds. Hairdressing and beauty services will be closed. Real estate auctions and inspections, unless online, cannot occur. Gyms, pools, community centres, entertainment venues and libraries will close. All non-essential retail will close, but essential stores like supermarkets, bottle shops and pharmacies will remain open. Cafes and restaurants will only be able to offer takeaway. Hotel and accommodation providers will be able to stay open to support guests already staying onsite. No new bookings can be made. We will be available for contact via phone or email during this time. Again, we will keep in contact but please just assume that as of Thursday, programs will be continuing unless advised otherwise. Please stay safe and let us know if there's anything we can do. Thanks! See more
