24.01.2022 #Saveourdanceschools. If you have a child that dances, change your profile picture to a dance photo and add the banner 'Save our dance schools' Dancing is a safe place for our children to have fun, relax and let go of stress, which is very important for them right now. The Government have overlooked just how important this environment and physical activity is for children. Let's support our dances schools by getting the message out there.

22.01.2022 Please give it a week and if your refund still hasn't come through, please only then message us to let us know. As you can imagine this has been a huge job and we have been inundated by messages at all hours asking about refunds. We truly appreciate your patience over this ongoing time, but please give your refunds a chance to get into your bank account or on your credit card.

21.01.2022 EXCITING NEWS!! As promised, we do have some exciting news! Although we do not have an exact date, we are planning to stage The Music Man KIDS in early November... 2020. Rehearsals are expected to re-commence at some stage in term 3! BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! Music Theatre International have kindly removed the age restrictions on the KIDS and JUNIOR shows, until August 2021. As we decided not to go ahead with our second show, Singin’ in the Rain JR, we have lots of disappointed people out there, who were too old to audition for Music Man KIDS and were waiting to audition for Singin’ in the Rain JR. We are inviting anyone who is between 7 and 18 years old to join the ensemble of Music Man KIDS. This will not change the casting of our show, all current roles remain the same. However, there are still some solo singing lines and minor roles available. These will be cast during rehearsals. We are excited about having an even larger cast, and even more excited to have some of our older, more experienced members come aboard to mentor some of our younger cast! We are welcoming new members too! If you would like to join our cast, no audition will be required. Simply complete the following registration form and we will be in touch with you to confirm your place in our show, ‘The Music Man KIDS’. ONLINE REGISTRATION FORM AVAILABLE AT: https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx

08.01.2022 GIVE AWAY TIME We were generously donated a child's free pass from Gumbya World and we don't want to see it go to waste. 06.01.2022 We hope everyone is doing ok, it certainly hasn't been easy. We wanted to let you all know that due to not knowing what restrictions will be in the coming months, our committee have decided to open entries for MDE in mid January. We will put out further information in the coming months

05.01.2022 This is it, we’ve called it. After careful consideration, the committee of the West Gippsland Dance Festival have decided not to go ahead with our event in 2020.... We held off as long as we could, hoping that things would improve. Unfortunately, our wonderful venue, the West Gippsland Arts Centre, is still closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the health risks for our competitors and their families remain very high. This health emergency is not over. Calling off the festival will help to protect the health and wellbeing of our dancers and our community. We’re already working on ways to improve our festival for the future. We can’t wait to see everyone dancing up a storm in 2021. Until then, stay safe xx See more
