17.01.2022 Over the next 2 days, I will be in the awesome little community of Tenterfield, delivering my Trauma & Recovery Workshop to those who feel that they need a litt...le more support and guidance in their lives! Sharing information saves valuable time, and time waits for no man women or child, your either a passenger with it, or a hitchhiker against it! See you tomorrow Tenterfield, I’ve missed you all!!!

13.01.2022 What is this beautiful building you ask? The Sir Henry Parkes Memorial School of Arts is where the "Father of Federation", gave his famous speech, The Tenterfie...ld Oration, in 1889. Parkes was the NSW Premier at the time and his speech was about the need for Australia's colonies to federate into one nation. After Parkes' speech was then reported in Sydney newspapers, the Governor requested his immediate return to Sydney to deliver the same speech there. Parkes went on to deliver 15 similar addresses in different locations over the next 9 months. Australia became a federated nation on 1 January 1901. You can visit the museum every day of the week, which is a must do when visiting the township of Tenterfield. In the same building, you'll find a cinema/theatre and the Courtyard Cafe Tenterfield. Check out our website for opening hours and entry fees: www.visittenterfield.com.au//sir-henry-parkes-memorial-sch @axis008

01.01.2022 My Grandfather (already an experienced charabanc operator) began operating his New England Motor Co service between Ballina, Lismore and Tenterfield in 1918. Pr...ior to 1918, there had been numerous operators on the Lismore - Tenterfield run. This post shows transport on this run from 1909 until 1970. The route had been well-serviced by NEMCo with a 6 day per week return service. In 1969, the Lismore - Tenterfield adult fare was $3.50 with a return fare of $5.25 (pensioner $1.75 & $2.70).
