If you need to postpone your wedding to later this year, or 2021, please consider a Monday-Thursday! I jumped on my IG stories this morning to talk a little about considering choosing a week day if you need to reschedule your wedding because of Coronavirus. As mostly small business and sole traders in the wedding industry, we are currently losing most of the work we were meant to have come in at the beginning of our peak busy season. For those who work on weddings full time, myself included, most of our income is made during a 6 month period every year, and now for the next 18 months to 2 years we are going to have to take on more work to stay afloat, and try and work with couples to reschedule a few months worth of weddings into our already limited availability. A lot of us are already booked on most weekends for 2020, and 2021 has begun to fill up, so we ask, if you can, to think about choosing a weekday if you need to postpone so not only you can have the highest chance of keeping your original wedding dream team, but help us to stay afloat so that we can actually make it through the year and continue filming, photographing, styling, doing makeup, creating hairstyles, dreaming up florals, legally marrying you, whatever it is that we all love doing so much for so many beautiful people getting married. I get so attached to all of my beautiful brides and grooms to-be and would be devastated if I had to miss out on spending your big day with you! I promise I’ll try and stop talking about this stupid virus now but I feel like this all needs to be put out there and mentioned sooner rather than later as more and more couples change their upcoming plans.
