20.01.2022 I wanted to share this email that I received from Anna who got these classes up and running 5 years ago, with CCDN and are now know as Connectability. I was chuffed to receive it and also impressed by the commitment and care Anna has shown for her clients.... Mar 2, 2020, 1:41 PM (8 days ago) to me Hi Susan, Not sure if this is still your email address but I really wanted to re-iterate: thankyou so much for what you have brought to our clients lives. I remember it being extremely difficult back then to find anyone open to working with people that might have a few challenges and somewhere that had an affordable price point for people on a pension. It’s still difficult to this day. I was absolutely stoked when it started! It has also shown many people what our clients are capable of, and even the clients themselves take so much pride in what they’re able to achieve with your guidance. Thankyou again for being such a legend, since I’m have a nostalgia day attached is the original poster haha. Regards Anna Duffus
19.01.2022 Reaching for the Stars. I know it has taken me a while My first mosaic since our move. Though I have been creative in other ways.
19.01.2022 A 3 week pilot study involving adolescent girls who experienced stress-triggered headaches or migraines participated in an intervention that combined mindfulness with art. They had 2 x 50min sessions for a week and prompted to draw how they felt with watercolours etc. Results showed that expressing themselves artistically resulted in 37% less number of headaches and 34% decrease in momentary stress.

12.01.2022 Just finished these shell house numbers for a tradie. I’m now using the compressed foam board as a backer, so easy to cut with a jigsaw and much lighter then plywood. Suitable for outdoors as it won’t take on water. Very happy with my new go to.

01.01.2022 FROM the EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT of GOSFORD hospital. ( not me.. I’m sharing) Feel free to share. I work in the emergency department at Gosford Hospital. We have ...amazing staff. We can do incredible things. I am extremely concerned about what is racing towards us. COVID-19 is bad. It's a cough for some, a 'bad flu' for others, but very very bad for a minority. The rough numbers in the evolving countries: most people (>85%) will be ok. About 10-14% get hospitalised, 2-4% need ICU (ie might die) . So if there are 1000 cases, that's 100-140 in hospital, 20-40 need ICU. So right now In Australia we have 1000 cases. 140 may be in hospital, 6 in NSW in ICU (don't know about the rest of the country), 7 deaths. We can deal with that . There's lots of hospitals in Australia to share the load. In NSW we have 436 cases, that's what the whole of australia had 4 days ago. 12 critical (6 now in ICU, 6 have died) the equivalent of 27 per 1000. So in 4 days we'll have 1000 cases, 140 in hospital, 20-40 in ICU. There's a lot of hospitals in NSW to share the load. Right now on the Central Coast we have 5 cases. They are the ones we know about. Some people already have it but don't know it yet. They will get sick sometime in the next 7-14 days. We haven't even counted them yet. We know from the numbers in australia and in NSW THAT THIS NUMBER DOUBLES EVERY 4 days . That means if we do no better than elsewhere, we will have 1000 cases on or around Anzac Day . 5 weeks from now. 140 hospital beds just with COVID-19 patients. 20 in ICU. We have 1 major hospital. Gosford hospital ICU DOES NOT HAVE 20 BEDS. AND THE NUMBERS WILL DOUBLE EVERY 4 DAYS And we need ICU for lots of other patients: heart attacks, car accidents, sepsis. People are going to die! We don't have enough of anything, beds, ventilators, nurses and doctors. Not counting that some of us are going to get sick too. So please. Please . PLEASE! Stay home if you are sick. Stay home if you have a sniffle, a bit of a sore throat, a cough. Stay home if anyone in your household is sick or has a sore throat or a cough. Stay home if there is any doubt. Ask your friends and neighbours to drop off some groceries. They will not laugh at you, they will thank you for staying home. Ring the hotline for advice, call your GP If you are well, STAY HOME TOO If your workplace is closed, STAY HOME TOO If your kids are off school, STAY HOME TOO Don't go to the park or the beach. Don't go out to meet friends, family or neighbours. Don't visit grandma. STAY HOME ALL THE TIME! If you have to go out to stock up on groceries, keep your distance. Don't touch your face. Don't touch anything you don't have to touch. You don't have to panic buy toilet paper or meat or pasta. You just have to stay home as much as possible. You're doing this for your own health. You're doing this for grandma. You're doing this for everyone in your street, at your school, at your workplace. You're doing this for all the doctors and nurses who will look after you if you do get sick with COVID19 or if you get sick with something else in the next couple of months. WE NEED YOU TO HELP US! WE NEED YOU TO STAY HOME TO PROTECT THE WHOLE CENTRAL COAST It's going to hurt a lot of businesses, but that is going to happen anyway. If we do this now and don't wait for the government to act, we can save ourselves. I wrote this on Saturday Australia was 1046, NSW WAS 436, central coast 5 Today 2 days later Australia 1709, NSW 704, Central coast 19. STAY HOME!
01.01.2022 Had these tiles laying around for years. Finally put them to a good use. I am happy with this little project. Stepping stone/paver.
