21.01.2022 It's couch time!!! We are now closed for the Christmas/New year break. Thank you to all our lovely clients for another wonderful year.... It has been a tough ending with the news of 5 dear pets passing just this last week, we have lost some owners and friends this year too, that has also hit us hard. When our clients lose a pet it is like us losing a pet too.... we love your pets and miss them dearly. Thanks for the gifts this Christmas, we really appreciate all the wonderful chocolates and goodies that keep us going during the busy days!! Have a safe and healthy break and we will back in the salon Jan 2nd. Thankyou! Marianne and Josh BTW i will actually be at the salon tomorrow to do my own dogs..... Yes, i haven't even groomed my own dogs for Christmas!!
21.01.2022 We dont know how long we can stay open at the moment. With new restrictions coming in hourly, we will continue to be open until told otherwise. This means that we dont kno where our next "pay" is going to come from. I STRESS THAT IF YOU CAN NOT MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT- PLEASE LET US KNOW.... WE HAVE HAD A NO SHOW AT 9AM TODAY. WE COULDVE BOOKED SOMEONE ELSE IN. THIS IS TOTALLY DISRESPECTFUL AND ALL IT TAKES IS A TXT OR CALL. WE SEND REMINDERS 24HRS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT. RETURN THE FAVOR AND LET US KNOW.
21.01.2022 Marianne is taking some time off to recover from a surgical procedure. This means that the phone may not get answered and grooming may take a little longer. Please be patient with us during this time. She should be back in the salon next week.... Thank you!! See more
20.01.2022 Ever had a question about pet grooming but too scared to ask? No question is a silly question... join and learn. You may even find a #poochperfect star amongst the groomers....
20.01.2022 We are still open!!! We will be open as long as we can. We have many procedures in place to protect us all while in the salon, and we are following guidelines from SA Health. We are only taking bookings for 1-2 days ahead, as we need to prepare that closure may be at anytime. All pre-booked clients are still all booked in for your regular session.... We are still sending our reminder sms. If you still get your reminder, that means we are still open. If you need to cancel your appointment, please notify us asap, preferably before, or when you receive your reminder. We are working less hours, with less dogs at the salon, the phone isnt ringing as much, so less income. We are also home schooling our son and if we can be home with him to help then we will be. This means that if you fail to attend your booked appointment, you are not only taking that spot away from someone else that does show up but also costing the business money. Its hard enough already with what is happening at the moment. Please text or leave a message if you ring the salon, so we are aware of your cancellation. We cant always answer the phone. We are busy from the second the 1st dog comes in til the last dog is finished. If we dont answer, leave a message. Please dont come into the salon..... it is unnecessary travel and exposure, and we are busy!!!! We have to stop work for the phone or walk ins, that is why we have message bank and txt available. Thankyou for your understanding! BTW we are participating in the bear hunt.... Elliot is all decked out, with his work experience side kick, in the salon window!!!

18.01.2022 Our area lost a great man yesterday. George and his family have been long term clients at Mojo's and helped me when i first opened. George was running from the Malone st shop with the best community notice board out the front. I was able to display my services next door to the famous Adams deli. George has been running since i can remember, and i grew up right here in Morphett Vale. ... Our deepest sympathies are with Christine and family during this great loss. If you need anything we are here for you. I am sad that i missed George last time he came in with Scruffy... i was busy out the back of the salon. I was hopeful that he was getting better. I will forever regret that. Love to you all Xo

15.01.2022 Omg Pooch Perfect is on tonight. I dont know if I am ecstatic, excited, nervous, anxious, amazed, or in total denial and disbelief that I will be seeing some of Australias most talented groomers, whom i have been able to meet, watch, steward and grow friendships with, strut their stuff with Rebel on National tv. Not just a 10sec news clip.... its all about them!!! Due to the fact that I have seen all of them compete, makes it impossible to back any team.... Aca believe it!...!! 11.01.2022 We have done a voluntary COVID-Safe plan with QR check in. There have been so many wonderful people coming in wanting to do the right thing and check in. We are one of the rare business's that weren't required to implement a COVID-safe plan to operate BUT You are all doing such a great job at wanting to check in, (in addition to the police being out in force monitoring this and everyone is worried, and can't afford a 1k fine....) we have now provided this for you!!!... We will have the QR code available on the front counter, in the reception area and on the front window. Have a healthy weekend!!! See more
11.01.2022 Southern District Police are issuing a warning to the public to be careful when trying to buy pets online, after several victims have come forward after losing ...thousands of dollars to scammers. The victims have contacted websites after seeing puppies advertised for sale. After obtaining account details and sending money to the website, no animal has arrived and refunds are promised but not returned to the victims. At first look, the fraudulent websites appears legitimate with cute pictures of the puppies listed 'for sale' when in actual fact it is part of an elaborate and extremely well organised scam. The website’s name and domain may change, but the tactics remain largely the same. These scammers play on people’s emotions as the puppies are cute and need rehoming, but in reality, they were never for sale to begin with. Instead the money is kept by the scammers and the victims lose out both financially and emotionally. Act with caution when buying online, especially if the seller makes it hard to see the animal in person. A common tactic is to portray that they are based in a remote location, too far for people to reasonably travel especially in the current Covid climate. They will often be advertised at an extremely competitive price. South Australia Police recommend that you do your homework when buying online and do not simply rely on reviews or testimonials on the site itself. Instead run the website’s address through a search engine and look further than the first page of results. If you start seeing terms such as ‘scam’ and ‘fraud’ associated with the website, it should raise alarm bells. Anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a scam should contact their local police station or the Police Assistance Line on 131444. See more

10.01.2022 We use Mels products in the salon, and she has kindly put forward a whole heap of videos for you all at home. This one shows how to brush a Yorkie....
10.01.2022 Please remember that if you feel the need to voice your opinion regarding the price of a service at any business... we dont get to keep gst. It is never ours, its the government money.
10.01.2022 I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Dr cliff Faver a few years ago when he came to Australia. I attended his seminars and spent time with him discussing our avenues of teaching about skin and skin health. As a groomer, this is something that we like to learn about so we can to assist and relieve any pain or discomfort, your pet may be experiencing, due to skin issues. We are very selective with what products we use and always use conditioner to rehydrate the skin ...and coat. We are always happy to answer any questions you may have about our products and skin health. https://www.groomertogroomer.com/skin-problems-in-the-salo/

08.01.2022 Running a small business is hard. Implementing policies for no shows and cancellations is hard. Filling an appointment with no notice is hard. Going home with hundreds of dollars less than projected is hard. Rebooking people that continuously no show or cancel last minute is hard.... Finding an answer is hard. Support small business and be respectful

08.01.2022 Absurd, outrageous, rip off, steep, too much - these are some of the words we have endured over the past month. (Actually ever since ive been in business) We lost a client today, someone that has been coming to us for 5 years. They were not willing to pay the price increase due to the gst. Im not going into details but please be aware that what you say can affect people, your words can hurt. You dont know what others are going through, what it takes to run a business in an ...industry that you have no idea about. Too many times i see people posting how much they are willing to pay for a service, this is not your right to say how much a business should get paid. You work to put food on the table and pay bills. So do we.....
07.01.2022 Bailey the Sheepadoodle... (Miniature Poodle x Old English Sheepdog) such a superstar today for his haircut!!
06.01.2022 We received a 1 star review today on Google. Why?? I don't know the person, I don't even know if they have a dog. This person is not a client and has never stepped foot in the salon. This person is a full grown, employed, adult male. This adult felt that it was acceptable to urinate on the loading dock of the complex today. ... Our complex has in excess of 12 cctv cameras, plus my own cameras for the salon, I also had my phone in hand so we have plenty of evidence: his face, his place of employment, car rego and make of car, his attempt at trying to explain, his lack of apology or remorse for urinating where workers take time out, have a smoke, chat with their children etc. We also have his name as it is on the google review. Our toilets are 4 meters away from where he relieved himself. He never asked for access to the toilets, which he could have easily done. Grown men, keep it in your pants, ask for a key, use a toilet.... It isn't rocket science. As for me? Yes I was rude, yes I swore, yes I am disgusted. This is not the first and won't be the last incident. The review will stay, just to show how low people will go to try to be the victim. For future reference, you are on camera at the complex, the whole place is covered. If you are found to be urinating somewhere that is not a toilet, you will be reported and all evidence will be handed to the police. In this day and age...... my god grow up!
06.01.2022 Copied from The Honest Groomer Reasons why your groomer may be falling behind on schedule (aka "IS MY DOG DONE YET?") 1.) A dog pooped or peed in the cage and had to get re-bathed, blow dryed and brushed. ...Continue reading
06.01.2022 Tinsel after her groom today. She had a short belly and hygienic clip, and a long comb clip all over. This service also includes nail trimming, foot pad shaving, full coat groom and deshed. She comes in for a groom on a regular schedule and is a pleasure to groom. You can see how relaxed she is on the table!!

05.01.2022 We are now completely booked out for 2020. We are unable to take on any new clients for the start of the new year aswell. We will not be answering the phone during the day. 05.01.2022 We are now stocking a little something for the pet owners.... Roll Clean soaps are handmade locally in Old Reynella. Designed for athletes of all martial arts including BJJ, MMA and grappling.... Those athletes get so sweaty and are in very close contact... being a dog groomer we are in very close contact with other things!!!! I use all the soaps and now I want you all to have a chance to use them too! I can personally recommend all soaps made by Roll Clean. As a person who is highly susceptible to product allergies and intolerance, i find it hard to find products that I can actually use long term without issues. (This also means I am very selective about what products I use on the animals too!!!) We are currently running an introductory special of $9ea. Have a smell when you are in the salon next. I only got the display in today and I have already sold 2!!!

04.01.2022 Today Mojo had a bit of a freshen up. I had been saving his overgrowth for a grooming competition but now everything has been canceled, he needed a little bit of attention. His coat is amazing and I think he scrubbed up alright!!!

03.01.2022 Thankyou.... to the person who decided to dump a whole, dead, fully feathered Isa Brown chicken in a plastic bag, in the complex carpark. The feet were sticking out and Im sure all the kids that come to the complex really enjoyed seeing that.... There are these things called bins.... perhaps you should google them?
02.01.2022 We will be closing due to the COVID lockdown. SA restrictions put in place have given us no choice but to close or risk being fined. We will be in contact with all clients with bookings over the next few days.... We will not be answering the phone as we will not be able to re book until we know when we can reopen. Thank you for your understanding.
02.01.2022 I am selling Spiney Stick Insects. Please see ad if you are interested. Thx!!!
01.01.2022 CALLING DOODLE OWNERS AND BICHON CROSS PAWRENTS Hey there! Have you recently got a puppy? Or do you own a puppy? Is it perhaps a poodle cross or bichon... cross? Well listen up! Theres have been various rumours going around that poodle crosses and bichon crosses must not have a full groom before the age of 6 months because it affects their developing adult coat. Let me tell you this straight.. ABSOLUTELY 1000% COMPLETELY FALSE!!!!!!!! I dont know who needs to hear this but if you have recently got a puppy and you have been told to wait until 6 months for it to even set foot inside a groomers., then you as an owner must take full responsibility for your pups terrified behaviour, matted fur, aggressive manner because of lack of socialisation within a grooming salon. Puppies need to be in a salon environment as much as they can as soon as they have had their second round of vaccinations to help them understand these strange noises, tools, salon etiquette in order to be calm and stress-free being groomed. Cockapoos/cockerchons/ cavapoo/cavachon/cockerpoochon/cavapoochon/shihpoo/shihchon/springerpoo/jackapoo/ ANYTHING POODLE OR BICHON CROSS are not these magical dogs that have low maintenance coats! In fact they are much much harder to maintain because of the cross of two high maintenance pooches put together so youve doubled the effort of grooming entirely! No dog is entirely hypoallergenic, they still moult regardless some less than others so still need that undercoat brushing out daily or youll end up with sorry Im not going to put a dog through pain because you didnt brush it properly.. CLIP!! And then blaming the groomer for your lack of knowledge in such a high maintenance dog. To sum this up, ring your groomer get your puppy booked in regularly every 3-4 weeks for a bath, brush and trim for your puppy to be comfortable and happy. Or would you rather listen to some random advice in a book or google and wait until 6 months for your pup to be matted, terrified and stressed because some person said so. No. Listen to your groomer!! Heres Fozzie for example, he is brushed daily every day without fail. He has been in a salon environment since 12 weeks of age and is not phased by anything, a happy knot-free puppy. Fozzies first FULL-GROOM was at the young age of 14 weeks and look how his coat is thriving!! Now look at the second picture, a doodle cross that has been left over 6 months for his full-groom, if you dont shake your head and change your perspective on these so called low maintenance breeds then I guess Ill be seeing you in 6 months with a terrified puppy stressed out its mind for a full clip off Read this again, and again, just putting it straight for those that are uneducated in grooming and need to hear this to do something about it. Feel free to share away, we need to see less matted puppies in the salon and more happy knot-free cuddle monsters! Thank you
01.01.2022 We are ok for now, I must admit, a few tears fell tonight. I dont want to lose my business. Im not going to go into details at the moment as I am really tired, but we have many measures in place to keep everyone safe. We will keep on working till we are shut down by the government. xo
