On Saturday 1 May and Sunday 2 May, for the fourth year, the Chidlow Tavern is playing host t...o Spit in the Hills, a master series International BBQ Contest, sanctioned by The Kansas City Barbeque Society. We are also delighted to announce, a brand new contest is coming to Spit in the Hills 2021; a Horse Shoeing Contest presented by the West Australian Farriers Association. There are so many ways you can be involved in this event. You can participate as: - A Contestant - A Sponsor - A Vendor - A Spectator If you would like to compete in the event, sponsor the event or be a vendor at the event, please contact Katie at katie@chidlowtavern and you will be sent a relevant information pack. If you would like to join us on the weekend as a spectator, we would LOVE to see you, and you can look forward to the following: WATCH - Live BBQ teams from the Kansas City Barbeque Society and the state’s best farriers as they compete head to head EAT Delicious Low ‘n’ slow BBQ from the Chidlow Tavern DRINK Head to the Chidlow Tavern or Outside Bar on the Village Green for a coldie JUDGE - In our Chidlow’s Choice Competition (an additional fee applies) LEARN-All about the art & craft of blacksmithing, and low ‘n’ slow BBQ and Meat smoking.
