21.01.2022 The love for dogs and animals runs in our family blood. My beautiful cousin is such a dedicated and fantastic dog trainer. She is currently offering online advice and tips during these uncertain times on her face book page Unleashed Dog Walking + Training https://www.facebook.com/104198274749568/posts/133458368490225/

20.01.2022 Dogs of the Month October's Duo, Arnie & Alfie October brings us another awesome twosome.Arnie (AKA Little Bread Loaf) and Alfie (AKA Little Sausage Roll), the coolest little Frenchie brothers in town. It’s hard to summarize the sheer awesomeness of these guys into one feature, but stay with me, I’ll do my best. Let's start with Arnie, Arns is four years old and unbeknown to his mum Kelly and dad Brad, he was born completely deaf. Nothing was stoppin...g this little superhero though, as soon as his humans figured it all out, he was on board and soon learned sign language as a means to communicate. His favourite treat is ,,, absolutely ANYTHING edible and his favourite toy is absolutely ANYTHING period! Recently this little Breadloaf was diagnosed with Addisons Disease, which is caused by a lower than normal production of hormones (ie cortisol) by the adrenal glands meaning stress levels must be kept to a minimum and hydration levels must be closely monitored. Luckily Arnie was diagnosed early and is on a good long term treatment plan with his vet. Next up we have Alfie, our little sausage roll. Alfie is two years old and although the youngest of the duo, he definitely looks out for his big brother and forever has his back. His favourite toy is a plastic squeaky stick and he loves spending the long summer evenings playing hide and seek with Arnie. Alf never ceases to amaze his mum and dad, one evening Kelly and Brad were inside chilling on the couch when in strolls little Alfie, a cigarette casually hanging out the side of his mouth. Considering his mum and dad dont smoke, they have no idea where he found it from but he definitely looked the part. It’s also his nightly ritual to be dragged across the floor (while in his bed) from the lounge to mum and dad's room ,,, this little sausage roll sure does know how to travel in style. Everyday the boys are booked into the salon is a good day, they come running in like two bulls in a china shop and go straight to the toy box, give the sloppiest kisses and ALWAYS manage to roll me for way more treats than they should, but I love them to bits and wouldn't change this awesome duo for the world. See more

18.01.2022 Please share #clipandcollect Dog grooming businesses will remain closed until end of October as part of the restrictions in The new Coronavirus (COVID-19) roadmap. We can understand 6 weeks without grooming as most owners should be able to brush and maintain their pets coat. However, no grooming businesses is allowed to open until end of October, this is too much IMHO. Some dogs would have gone without a clip since June. Imagine dogs walking around in thick woolly coat in... hot weather. Not to mention the risks of owners injuring their dogs when without proper skills, attempting to scissor or clip their matted dogs themselves. . Like majority of the groomers, I work solo and only groom a limited number of dogs a day. Groomers have been practicing strict no contact Drop off and pick up service since stage 3 lockdown in March. If you can Click n Collect from Spotlights, groomers should be able offer Clip n Collect service to dog owners.

17.01.2022 Customer Announcement PLEASE READ After spending the past 3 days rearranging appointments unfortunately (and I write this in tears) it seems that home based grooming salons may not be allowed to go ahead at the end of the month.... It is looking likely that only retail shop fronted grooming and corporate grooming will be allowed to go ahead from the 28th. This is soul destroying for home and mobile groomers. I am so, so sorry to all my beautiful customers but I have no other choice, I will be pausing all bookings untill I have a definitive answer. The government statement is very confusing and contradicting and us groomers are still trying to work together to have all salons open. Please sign this petition as it is a welfare issue. Corporate and retail will not be able to get through the amount of dogs that need grooms https://www.change.org/p/daniel-andrews-allow-mobile-and-ho

15.01.2022 Today my best friend in the whole world had to make the heartbreaking decision to put her beautiful boy, Prince to sleep. Nicola gave Prince the best 15years, his life was full of love and fun, he was amazing with all the kids and had been part of our drunken nights more times than we can count . But our boy was getting tired and Nik had to do the kindest thing for him and the hardest thing for her. I wish more than ever, that I could have been home to say goodbye and comfort my best friend. Rest easy Princey Boy, I love you and you'll always be in my heart

13.01.2022 DOG OF THE MONTH Mr July July's dog of the month is the adorable little Teddy. Teddy is a four year old pomanarian and the much loved and cherished companion of his mum, Susan. Teddy likes to start each day by choosing a toy from his toy box to play with outside as mum enjoys her morning coffee. His favourite play mates are Big Ted and Little Dragon. To maintain his athletic build, Teddy sticks to a strict diet most days however, he does ...love the odd treat of cooked chicken. Such a quirky little dude, Teddy greets everyone he meets by standing on his back legs and waving his front paws at you whilst flashing his biggest smile. Ever the trend setter, on his pamper days at Molly's Paws, he likes to be transformed into the sought-after Boo cut. This style suits his cheeky little character perfectly. Once preened to perfection he then likes to sit on the reception desk, getting cuddles and treats while he waits for his favourite human in the whole world, his mum See more

09.01.2022 BRUSHING GUIDE this is a really good diagram to follow when brushing your dog. Often people will brush the top of their dogs (blue on diagram) however, that is often the area that needs the least brushing.

04.01.2022 So proud of this girl. River used to really struggle with the dryer to the point that it became unsafe for her as it stressed her too much. Slowly we started desensitising her by using different drying methods and building her trust in me and the salon. Last week on her fourth visit to the salon I managed to dry her completely for the first time ever with no stress by using the finish dryer and dryer brush. She was calm throughout. This is why I my job
