24.01.2022 Even though its winter, the staff have been hard at work. Today we received our COVID Safe authorisation to open in October. The COVID Safe plan includes some minor changes to the pool layout, seating areas, traffic flow of entry and exit, public announcements, COVID safety training programs, separation rules of swimmers and other user groups and new hand sanitization units both in the entry as well as outside each of the changerooms. 03.01.2022 In the interests of public safety during the Coronavirus pandemic, Cabonne Council is proactively closing the Molong and Canowindra Pools at 5pm today (23rd Mar...ch 2020). This is a week earlier than the planned closures on Sunday 29 March 2020. The health of community members and staff and the need to minimise the spread of Covid-19 are Council's top priorities during this crisis. 03.01.2022 A message from our CEO in response to COVID-19 LSA Management and our BCP Working Group have been working with our partners, key suppliers and other stakeholders on the COVID-19 situation since January 2020. With current advice and restrictions with social distancing, internal capacity and external capacity numbers being legislated and our legal requirements for our own staff health & safety, LSA has implemented a range of actions across all of our venues and operations, the...se include but are not limited to: Public advice to cleaning and handwashing Increased risk assessments for public gatherings and event safety services All Fitness and Learn to swim classes have been cancelled Specific staff resources and advice has been provided for staff on our staff Intranet All face to face training programs have been cancelled All management and support staff have been set up to work remotely Increased cleaning schedules and deep clean cycles on ALL our venues All of our seasonal swimming centres are currently scheduled to remain open until the end of March 2020 Our commitment to our Full-time and Permanent Part Time staff and their families is paramount. As an employer, LSA has committed to keep all full-time employees on full wages and ensure access to flexible and remote locations and systems of work. All of these actions have been done to mitigate the risk to our user groups, the community, our staff and their families. The coming six months will test us as a community and a country.
