22.01.2022 Something a bit different from the MoLo workshop today ... a couple of cat boxes ... a breeder in Lawson wanted some to keep the kitties warm in the cattery during winter ... accommodation for these lucky felines ...

The old chest of drawers turned out to be gorgeous cedar and possibly made in the 1860’s ... sanded back, stained and waxed with soft black fittings to contrast ... still waiting on new knob which needed to be specially turned but couldn’t wait so here it is .......

12.01.2022 Guess what ... another large letterbox safely arrived this week at its new home in the New England area, NSW ... oiled fence palings with Pale Eucalyptus painted roof and side door for easy access ... another excited client ...

11.01.2022 First parrot nesting box made and installed in less than 24 hours several local parrots have been fighting over a tree hollow so client decided to provide a new abode for a couple of lorikeets ...hopefully they’ll move in and have some little chics ... ... next is a home for the rozellas

11.01.2022 Latest challenge and it’s a beauty ... old rocker picked up on side of the road ... this is a tough one ... repairing and hand sanding spindles phew !

11.01.2022 This weeks project ... beautiful old oak chest of drawers needing a bit of repair and a facelift ... oh, and a couple of knobs ... Also, so I don’t disappoint anyone, there’s another two letterboxes in the pipeline ...

10.01.2022 So guess what left the workshop this week ... yep, you guessed it, another letterbox ... this one’s headed up to the Hunter region in NSW ... recycled palings and mini orb roof always look great, one of my most popular styles ...

10.01.2022 Well it’s time for MoLo to down tools for the year ... and what a year it’s been ... out of action for first two months with a fractured ankle ... full on from mid February ... clearly letterboxes being the favourite creation, 22 made just this year ... followed by 6 wildlife boxes, 4 veggie garden ends, 3 BBQ caddies, 3 bird feeders and 2 each of cat boxes, chopping boards and drawer trolleys ... phew ! Let’s not forget 14 restoration projects ... thank you to all my loyal clients and supporters ... 2021 is going to be fabulous

08.01.2022 .... are we all ready for the long awaited reveal ?? Big red rocker is no more ... repaired, sanded (by hand ), waxed and polished ... we decided not to re-upholster the seat, just added a stained wooden one to match ... nice and rustic ...

08.01.2022 Progress shot ... over 16 hours and first sand almost done ... then fine sanding, cleaning and waxing ... oh, and a new upholstered seat as well ... phew

07.01.2022 When is a letterbox not a letterbox when it’s a parcel box of course ... this fabulous merbau creation is on its way to a horse stud in Scone ... I don’t think the couriers will have any trouble finding it ...

07.01.2022 So I guess it’s time for another letterbox ... ... lovely crisp white with natural gal roof, in transit to its new home on the lower North Shore ... ... and yes, the rocking chair is coming along nicely, big reveal very soon ...

07.01.2022 Little table is happy now ... bit shabby chic, bit classic ... just love this colour, slightly distressed and sealed with dark wax ... size is 50cm x 28cm x 28cm ... if you just have to have this gem, send me a message ...
