She is also a Project Coordinator at Stride Education and Big Brothers Big Sisters Australia. Angel is passionate about empowering and motivating young people to becoming the best versions of themselves. Throughout her career, she has worked with several organizations and non-profits to provide opportunities for young people through education, leadership and me...ntoring programs. Currently, she and a team of youth ambassadors are leading the You(th) Are Not Alone Project, an initiative founded by young people for young people in an effort to tackle loneliness and increase meaningful social connection amongst Australia’s youth.

Gary Cully is the third Principal of Parklands Christian College a school at which he has served for over 16 years, and that he considers home. In 2003, when the College was only 2 years old, he joined a small team of pioneering teachers, and Principal Mr David Baskerville to help start the Secondary School. With big dreams and a confidence in great things to come, our team set out in faith to create a school that loved kids and would serve countless future generations of students and their families throughout Logan City. Our purpose remains the same - motivating young people in making the best choices for themselves so that they can achieve their full potential. We are hosting a special zoominar titled, "Inspiring Engagement in a Shifting World", on Thursday, the 29th of October from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm. Through this session, attendees access valuable insights and effective strategie...s that schools can employ to maximise engagement and wellbeing, not just for students, but for teachers and staff members too. 13.01.2022 We are excited to announce our next team member! Host and former dual professional athlete Guy Walker had a career crippled with injuries which forced him to retire from all sport at the age of 24. Guy was able to live out his dream becoming professional at both of the sports he loved in AFL and Cricket. He spent 7 years as a cricketer with the Victorian Bushrangers, Melbourne Stars, Melbourne Renegades and Australian U19’s making his Big Bash League debut in December of 201...5 at 20 years of age, which he didn’t know at the time but would be the last time he would every step foot on a field fit again. Numerous back stress fractures, ankle surgery, hamstring problems and shoulder reconstructions put Guy’s career on hold, but it was a severe nerve injury in his shoulder that ended his career instantly and changed his life forever. Throughout Guy’s life, he’s had to deal with adversity and had to build resilience on how he could stay mentally engaged and happy even though his career was coming to a halt. Through The Athlete Diaries, Guy speaks to other athletes about their journeys and challenges in sport and life to provide value for listeners who may be dealing with their own adversities.

To all young people, please! Be aware of your friends, speak love and kindness and make sure you know your friends well. If their behaviour has changed, get involved, pay attention, look after your circle of friends, you may just save a life by simply letting them know you care and they're not alone. If they can't speak, speak for them.

Josh is a journalist and creative from Melbourne, and former assistant editor of Marketing Magazine. He’s written about digital consumer behaviour, brand psychology and the Australian business ecosystem since he was 20, and now works as a freelance writer and marketing consultant. At uni, Josh majored in politics and international studies, and media and communications. He’s spoken at... a number of key corporate events, including Advertising Week APAC and ThinkTV’s ThinkTank, and covered international technology conferences as a corresponding reporter. Mark is the CEO of Motivational Media, Stride Education and Big Brothers Big Sisters Australia. In 1999, Mark co-founded Whitelion and until August 2018 he was the founding CEO. ... In addition, Mark is the Director of Social Engine a social enterprise powering young people into employment. Mark has a Masters in Social Work and holds a Bachelor of Business. He holds a number of community leadership positions including being the chair of Surrender Australia and the ‘First Step’ Program. Mark has a deep passion and commitment to supporting disadvantaged and ‘at risk’ young people and was awarded the Robin Clark Memorial Award in 2005 in recognition of excellence in the category of 'Making a Difference to Children, Young People and Families'. Mark was appointed a Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia "for significant service to the community, particularly to disadvantaged and at-risk youth, through social welfare support organisations.
