25.01.2022 If ever there was inspiration to print your photos (and your clients photos), its last months Adobe bungle whereby their latest Lightroom update accidentally permanently deleted some users photos and presets! We feel for all affected, and urge you to ensure your backup system involves storing your files in multiple locations. We also urge you to encourage your clients to get a three point back up system in place, so once you hand the files over they remain safe too.... Adobe officially stated that, Some customers who updated to Lightroom 5.4.0 on iPhone and iPad may be missing photos and/or presets. This affected customers using Lightroom mobile without a subscription to the Adobe cloud. It also affected Lightroom cloud customers with photos and presets that had not yet synced to the Adobe. We hope you werent affected and remember to play it safe folks.

24.01.2022 Congratulations to @lougilbertphotography of @brisbanecameragroup for winning the 2020 Australian Photographic Society x @momentopro Photobook Competition - Storytelling category with Im Not Me Any More. Despite its intimate size, this book packs a powerful emotional punch. The portraits of an elderly woman woven in with her comments on moving into a nursing home, are confronting. The grey cover, the addition of deliberately blurred images, and their random placement on the page, all tragically reflect the status of her Alzheimers affected mind. 10.01.2022 CONGRATS to Lesley Bretherton from Melbourne Camera Clubwho has just been crowned winner of the Australian Photographic Society x Momento Pro Photobook Competition Portfolio category with her book Hokkaido Winter 2020. This book was a clear winner with its immaculate landscape photographs that were poetically paired with a haiku. The font style and colour blend beautifully with the tone of the photography, while the placement of a Location Index at the back of the book is in keeping with the books minimalist nature. 10.01.2022 Were loving this Lockdown Abstracts series by @kayhathwayphotography. A familiar enigma: my interpretation of a small part of Rozelle Bay in Sydney Harbour. Multiple ICM exposures: as they develop in post they almost take on a life of their own. All is not as it seems

09.01.2022 CONGRATS to @brianrope of Canberra Photographic Society and Canberra PhotoConnect for winning 2nd prize in the Portfolio category of the Australian Photographic Society (APS) and @momentopro Photobook Competition with his book titled Liked. He won $75 cash and a $250 Momento Pro voucher. The judges said: "Liked presented an engaging series of abstract black and white images and it made us laugh. The image selection was unique and contemporary, as only photos that received a Like from a photography peer were chosen. Including the social post text and comments, in the Facebook font, also added to the context and humour. Its a great creative collaboration. All camera club members are eligible to enter.
