25.01.2022 Good Morning Newcastle, we hope everyone is keeping well. It is with a very heavy heart that we have to announce that Three Bears Kitchen will cease business on... Sunday 13th December 2020. Vicky and I would like to thank everyone of our customers over the past 4 years for their patronage and support especially through the Light Rail construction and Covid-19. We are very grateful to each and every one of you. Vicky and I would also like to thank our team who have made Three Bears Kitchen such a great environment for all our customers and for the hard work and support they have shown us. Between now and Sunday 13th December we will be open every day as per normal serving your favourite coffee and delicious Breakfast & Lunch items, so don’t forget to pop in to see us before we close the doors. Momma Bears Café (Our sister café) located at 45 Watt Street (inside the Watt Street Commercial Building) will continue to be operated by Vicky and myself. Momma Bears is open from 7am-2.30pm Monday to Friday. We will be looking to develop a smaller menu with similar items to what we have been serving at Three Bears Kitchen and also the coffee will not change, we will still be serving the same coffee as Three Bears Kitchen. We welcome people to come and try it out if you haven’t been before! Momma Bears Café will be closed from 24th December 2020 and will reopen on the 11th January 2021, during this time we will be having some family time with our 2 young kids, who over the past 4 years have been absolutely amazing. They have had to spend days on end at Three Bears Kitchen while Vicky and myself have been working and now it is time to give back to them during this period while Momma Bears Café is closed. 23.01.2022 And that’s a wrap for Three Bears Kitchen Newcastle (For Now!) Thank you to everyone who came and visited us over the past week or so since we announced the clo...sure. Thank you for your kind messages, comments, cards and letters. Vicky and I really appreciate all the love and support. For now we hope to see you at Momma Bears Cafe on Watt Street. Thanks again to our staff who have been absolutely fantastic and thanks to some of our former staff who came and visited us over the weekend. Who knows what the New Year will bring for us, we may see Three Bears Kitchen return in the future. Stay tuned on our social media for any news. Firstly we would like to thank everyone for their AM...AZING support over the past 6 weeks, without you our doors would not be open and we really appreciate the whole community's support. As everyone is probably aware by now, we will be allowed to have a maximum of 10 seated customers inside Three Bears Kitchen at any stage from Friday. We have worked out a plan to try and accommodate our loyal customers the best we can with such a small capacity. In saying this our Takeaway model which we have been doing for the past 6 weeks WILL NOT change and we will still be doing our complete food menu, coffee & drinks takeaway, so if we are at capacity you can opt for takeaway instead of dine in. In regards to our plan for Dine-In customers we are going to do time slots to accommodate customers the best we can, the time slots will be as follows: Monday - Friday: 7am, 8.30am, 10, 11.30am, 1pm & 2.30pm Saturday & Sunday: 8am, 9.30am, 11am, 12.30pm & 2pm As you will see everyone that makes a reservation for a table will get a 1.5 hour slot except for the last slot of each day as we close at 3pm. If you do not make a reservation we CAN NOT guarantee you a table to sit at. We have also had to make the very hard decision, that anyone that Dine's In will have to have a meal and that dine-in tables WILL NOT be available for Coffee or Drinks ONLY. As you will know we now have the ability to have 50 people max dine-in with us right now, we are continuing to do the time slots of 1.5 hours for dine-in which has been working really well. Our availability for every time slot for Saturday & Sunday this weekend is below: We are still advising people if they are coming to Three Bears Kitchen any day to book ahead to be guaranteed of a table, over the past few weeks we have had to turn away so many people due to them having no booking and we were completely full. Dont forget this weekend is a Public Holiday weekend and we DON'T charge a Public Holiday Surcharge at any stage over the weekend. Finally we also want to make everyone aware that one of the conditions that the State Government have put into place for hospitality venues is that we need to record the details of all customers that dine in with us. The time slots for each day are as follows: Monday - Friday: 7am, 8.30am, 10, 11.30am, 1pm & 2.30pm Saturday & Sunday: 8am, 9.30am, 11am, 12.30pm & 2pm As you will see everyone that makes a reservation for a table will get a 1.5 hour slot except for the last slot of each day as we close at 3pm. If you do not make a reservation we CAN NOT guarantee you a table to sit at. We have also had to make the very hard decision, that anyone that Dine's In will have to have a meal and that dine-in tables WILL NOT be available for Coffee or Drinks ONLY.
