25.01.2022 Today marks the beginning of National Reconciliation Week- an important opportunity for all Australians to recognise and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Culture and heritage. The Territory Government recently launched the ‘Everyone Together’ Aboriginal Affairs Strategy, which is a 10 year plan which works to improve the way we work with Aboriginal Territorians to achieve better outcomes.

25.01.2022 Not the Spirit of Australia or even the Spirit of Ireland ...

23.01.2022 We’re not complacent, we know it can come back at any time. We are the safest because Territorians have been the best, and we all need to keep being the best. But how good is this:

20.01.2022 I love this time of year as I’m invited to all of these wonderful presentation events. Last night I attended the Palmerston Girls Academy (PGA) Awards Night, where a number of young ladies were recognised for their leadership in their school community. Like the Clontarf Foundation, PGA and STARS is instilling good work ethic into our indigenous students, helping bridge the gap and teach them good school/life practices. Thank you to sponsor Inpex for your support in the continuity of these programs. Luke Gosling MP Eva Lawler MLA: Member for Drysdale

20.01.2022 With Christmas fast approaching we asked the students at Stuart Park Primary School to help us make our Electorate Christmas card, by creating some festive artwork to be used as the cover. The creative drawings that came back were outstanding! It was impossible for my office to select only one winner, so we chose 4. Congratulations to artists Austin, Jazlyn, Mabel & Charlotte! Keep an eye out in your letter boxes for our Christmas cards in the month of December

20.01.2022 NAPLAN has started in the Territory and is going high tech this year ...

19.01.2022 Vale - Brendan Brannelly Deepest and heartfelt sympathy is extended to Michael Brannelly - Jenni, Dennis, Hibble and all the family in the sudden passing of Brendan. Brendan was a great mate in my education days and he will be sadly missed. RIP Brendan

18.01.2022 A historic day for Darwin demolition of the Chan Building started today! Many Territorians probably have a story or two about the Chan Building. As par...t of the $200 million City Deal, the Chan Building is making way for cool, open, green space for the public to enjoy. 50 local jobs are being supported through this project. Local Territory business McMahon Services is carrying out these works and has a focus on recycling measures in an effort to reduce the impact demolition will have on landfill and the environment. This is a significant CBD revitalisation project, which will spearhead the Territory as Australia’s rebound capital.

18.01.2022 What a day for swimming Congratulations to all the little swimmers who completed their swimming program with Little Royals Swim School and Sunday Lifesaving this morning. It was an absolute pleasure to come down to Parap Pool Darwin and present these little swim stars with their certificates. ... Thank you Royal Life Saving NT for running such a great program, giving children and families confidence around the water.

13.01.2022 The most important job now is the economic recovery. I’m proud of the cabinet team we have selected, that will lead every facet of this in our next Parliament, whilst keeping all Territorians safe.

12.01.2022 The NO MORE campaign has been running for many years in the Territory. It encourages us to link up and say No more to family violence. This morning I attended the NO MORE Breakfast, where the guest speakers reminded us of the multifaceted impact domestic violence has on families and communities. It is not ok and should not be tolerated. If you know someone who is a victim of domestic violence please reach out.... 11.01.2022 We’ve been working with the City of Darwin to increase the safety for riders and pedestrians around our roads. ‘Watch For Bicycles’ signs are being installed on the outer-most approaches to the roundabouts on Woolner Road, to warn motorists of the presence of bicycle traffic. In the lead up to Christmas the roads get a little wild, so remember to slow down and pay attention to traffic signals. And put your phones down! No more preventable accidents please.

10.01.2022 What a bright way to start the day! The 2020 Colour Frenzy was a fantastic event and a great way to raise money for Paws Darwin. It was nice seeing so many families splashed with colour and enjoying the bubbly fun.
