Whilst we can not yet recommend full public access at saleyards, what it does mean is that in addition to essential saleyard workers, agents, genuine buyers and transporters that the following parties can now attend (provided that social distancing requirements of 1.5m are maintained): At the discretion of the saleyard operator including their camera/video operators may attend for the purpose of reporting on and promoting saleyard operations and importantly (noting first preference admission for essential attendees and vendors allowed to attend if allowable within the social distancing requirements) EUCAS, NSQA and other relevantauditors. It is hoped that implementation of Stage 2 will allow saleyards operational flexibility for their specific onsite infrastructure and clientele. Lending his auctioneering talent for the 3,744 yarding was Nick Fogarty of Bowyer & Livermore Livestock. Heavy steers made up to $1,295/hd, with a lot of cattle in the same lane holding upwards of $1,000/hd. The best of the steer calves showing weight of 320kg made $2.80-$3.00/kg. In attendance to support the sale was TB White And Sons, Gerrard & Partners Livestock & Property, G J Hulm & Co Pty Ltd, AFJ Brien & Sons and Jim Hindmarsh & Son.

We suffered some stock losses but ...the bulls have survived and are ready for inspection. Our open day & bull sale will still go ahead as usual.
