20.01.2022 Meet magestic Heidi, a beautiful Norwegian Forest Cat who was ever-so-good for her appointment today #monashvetclinic

19.01.2022 We know that feeding multiple cats in a household while simultaneously trying to keep everyone to their suitable weight can be a real challenge, especially coming into winter. There's always one cheeky feline who muscles into everyone else's food bowl and ends up a few sizes too big! Or ends up eating that expensive prescription diet that was meant for a different cat! Microchip scanning feeders are a great invention, but if you fancy getting a bit creative there are other ways to get around the problem. Have a read of this owner's solution, and see if you get any ideas yourself! #monashvetclinic #pawsoffmyfood #avoidingfatcats

19.01.2022 Congratulations to our Dr Ray Ferguson who is receiving the Medal of the Order of Australia for his service to the veterinary industry!! His passion for and dedication to his patients, animal welfare and the betterment of veterinary medicine has been evident from his early career and has left an inspiring impression with anyone who has worked with him. Well done Dr Ray, we are all so proud of you!!!

19.01.2022 We all feel a bit like this Finnish Lapphund puppy after today's weather... HOT (and also like a big nap)! As the weather remains warm over the next few days (or maybe even weeks) please remember to make sure you have plenty of water, shade and cool air for your furry and feathered family members. Keeping them inside with the air-con, freezing treats to have throughout the day and avoiding walks until the cooler hours are easy ways to help them beat the heat ... #monashvetclinic #keepthemcool #beattheheat

18.01.2022 It's that time of year again - Spring Babies! We're seeing a lot of babies come through our doors at the moment, particularly fledgling birds. While it can be very concerning seeing baby birds who can't fly out of the nest, they all go through this as a stage of learning how to fly and survive and in most cases mum and dad are near by. Here are some tips from Wildlife Victoria about when and how to intervene if you find a fledgling out of the nest.... #monashvetclinic #springbabiesseason #wildlife

18.01.2022 Some of you may have noticed we've put stickers on the floor to aid in social distancing within the clinic. Here is Ruby, making sure she abides by the rules in the consult room!! #monashvetclinic

17.01.2022 Today is Dr Brigitte's last day with us We are very sad to see her go, but she is embarking on exciting new adventures in regional Victoria and we wish her nothing but the best (and maybe some easy house training with her new puppy!).

13.01.2022 Peanut and Poppet strike again! They are a very talented pair of kitties when it comes to baking cakes

11.01.2022 To all our clients, During this time of COVID-19 we are still open and operating as per normal, but with a few adjustments to the clinic to help minimise spread and keep both you and ourselves safe. Please take a moment to read our changes below, and don't hesitate to call if you have any questions. ... We greatly appreciate your co-operation with us. Stay safe!

09.01.2022 Please welcome Dr Daniel to our Monash family! After a period of time working in mixed practice he has decided that small animal practice is the place to be. Some of you have already met him in consult and he is doing a great job at settling in and helping your furry family members! #monashvetclinic

09.01.2022 We received these lovely pictures from a recent litter we were involved in, saying mum and pups are doing well. Aren't they just adorable?! #monashvetclinic #lovemesomepuppies

04.01.2022 It's pretty tiring running a vet clinic in the middle of COVID. Almost as tiring as getting your first vaccination.... #monashvetclinic #puppyfirsts #melbournevet

02.01.2022 Researchers at Monash University are conducting a study about the experience of Australians living alone during COVID-19, and the impact that pet ownership (specifically of dogs and cats) might have on this experience. They would love it if anyone has a moment to complete their survey about their experience. Stay safe everyone.

02.01.2022 To our wonderful nursing and reception staff, HAPPY VET NURSE DAY!! They are the glue of this clinic, who look after your fur babies and comfort them when they are nervous, recovering from an anaesthetic or not feeling well. ... They monitor anaesthesias, administer medication and make sure no-one goes hungry. They keep the runs and cages clean, plough through a never-ending mountain of laundry and get more than their fair share of bodily fluids on their scrubs. They answer phones with an intent to help, whether it's a call about a sick animal, bringing in wildlife, or getting the appropriate paperwork right. They do this, and much much more, with care, grace, and nothing but love for your little ones. Thank you. #vetnurseday #monashvetclinic #loveyourvetnurse
