24.01.2022 Our friends at MHP is recruiting, check out the post below. https://www.facebook.com/watch/

19.01.2022 Interested in learning more about how our self-driving car works? Check out the progress our software team has made, and see a walkthrough of our system. Follow our pages to keep updated as we progress towards our end of year demonstration! https://youtu.be/fAHWVFFc9ZM

18.01.2022 The hardware team focused our 2020 efforts on the design process for various projects due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Designs for a dynamic obstacle prototype and Mark 2 were created, with the aim of producing both of these in early 2021. These obstacles will allow the team to demonstrate the obstacle avoidance capabilities onboard the Subaru. Design of a new computer stack for the Subaru was also completed, with the new design allowing us to position more computers inside the car. This will also go into production in early 2021.

15.01.2022 Here’s a video update from our Connectivity Section. The Connectivity section has been working on V2V communications and intersection controls using an On-Board Unit (OBU) for our autonomous vehicles. The Connectivity section will continue working on the communication and intersection control in a simulated environment for the rest of the year. Next year, the plan is to implement the solutions into real-world vehicles. https://youtu.be/4juliLUwjUc

11.01.2022 MonashUAS is hosting their annual Showcase next Thursday 1st October 2020, 6pm AEST. More detail, click the link below. https://www.facebook.com/events/1138804506551954/

10.01.2022 In semester one 2020, the connectivity team focused their efforts on the integration of our On Board Unit with the Nvidia Drive PX 2 so that the wireless radio could be utilised to send and receive data between vehicles. This would expand the possibilities of V2V and V2I connectivity. A device driver program was written, and software was configured on the On Board Unit to connect Robot Operating System to the Cohda Wireless On Board Unit.

07.01.2022 After a challenging 2020 and a relaxing summer break, we are back in action! It will be an exciting year ahead of us in solving challenging problems and to realising our 2021 goals and visions.

06.01.2022 Don't miss out! Application for our Interaction Team is closing this Sunday, 11th October. If you are interested in autonomous and intelligent transport systems or you wanted to transform our future transportation infrastructure and technology, fill out the application today!

03.01.2022 Some connectivity team members spent their year investigating, designing and developing a V2V intersection control algorithm. This algorithm is intended to enable efficient control of vehicles at intersections where there is no pre-existing V2I infrastructure, such as a Road Side Unit. The flowchart of the algorithm is examined in this video, as well as the current status of the project and plans for the future.

02.01.2022 Here's a video update from our Interaction Section. Since semester one, the Interaction Team has been working on improving our autonomous vehicle simulation using Simulation of Urban MObility (SUMO) and LGSVL Simulation. The team is planning to work alongside our Connectivity team to strengthen our intersection control simulation for the 2020 End of Year demonstration. https://youtu.be/HO5QzM3BG_g
