25.01.2022 Dear Graduate Students, We hope your final exams and exam preparation are going well. In case you missed our recent MGA Instagram Live Exam Tips video, the university has recently changed the criteria for what medical certificates must include when used to support special consideration applications.... The new rules about ‘acceptable’ and ‘unacceptable’ medical certificates can be found at: https://www.monash.edu/exams/changes/special-consideration In summary, an acceptable medical certificate must include: being printed on the medical centre/doctor’s surgery letterhead; the date the certificate was issued (the date must be on or before the date of the exam); the heading of Medical certificate; a statement certifying that you (in the opinion of the medical professional) are unable to attend an exam on a given day or given set of days; your doctor's name and signature; the medical centre/doctor’s surgery stamp. If you need any further information about these changes or help with the special consideration process, please email: [email protected] Best wishes, MGA Advocacy Team

19.01.2022 Dear graduate students, We’re pleased to inform you that the MGA Caulfield lounge (Building C, Level 2) is open as of today. A few things have changed so take note of the following: 1) At present, the lounge is NOT open for use 24/7 as before and the operational hours are:... Monday to Friday: 9:00am to midnight Saturday & Sunday: 9:00am to 8:00pm 2) Students can only access the C2 lounge through the entrance to Building C on Level 1. 3) To access the lounge, you need to use your Monash ID Card. Each person will need to swipe in. Please do not follow another person in without swiping in. 4) If you don’t have your ID (best if you do because you may be approached by security to present this), you must check-in by scanning the QR code shown on the poster at the entrance to Building C on Level 1. 5) In the lounge, students MUST wear a fitted mask at all time and follow the physical distancing measure. The above changes help the University keep accurate records for contact tracing purposes and remain compliant with government directives. Finally, please take note that the MGA lounge in Building H Caulfield, Campus Centre, Clayton and Peninsula Struan house remain close at this point. But we will get more information about these spaces in the coming weeks as the University slowly reactivates spaces on campus.
