09.01.2022 Monash's Net Zero Initiative will engage with the Monash University community and precinct partners, to map the current and desired future state of the Monash Precinct’s infrastructure and services by hosting a series of virtual workshops and would like to invite current Monash students to share their thoughts and ideas on how the Monash Precinct is performing as a sustainable city and what we need to improve. The Net Zero Initiative hope to utilise student knowledge and per...spective to workshop potential growth areas for Monash University. This mapping will ultimately identify opportunities to develop a sustainable precinct. The session is to be held from 4 - 5.30pm on Wednesday 14th October. We are making a video that will feature Monash students telling us what personal action they have taken for the climate. The videos will be used in the new Net Zero Me module. We want you to create a short video (think TikTok or Reels) recorded on your mobile phone and send it through to [email protected]... Videos should be filmed somewhere on campus and must include the following 1. First name (no surname though) 2. Course you are studying 3. What is 1 action you have taken to reduce your footprint 4. 05.01.2022 This year, 30 teams made up of Monash staff from across the university completed the Green Impact program. The program was redesigned and adapted so the actions could be done while working from home. The teams showed true determination and passion to make positive action for the environment happen in this toughest of tough years. We're now moving onto the auditing phase and getting our students ready to audit the teams and assess their good work. A big thank you from the Campus Sustainability team to all the Monash Green Impact team for making this the biggest year for Green Impact at Monash!
