Please fill it out if you are interested in competing/refereeing, would like to watch or simply tagging along for BBQ. May the gods of fencing be ever in your favour!!!

14.01.2022 Hi there fencers!! Reminding yall to sign yourself up for the sabre competition tomorrow and foil competition + BBQ next Sunday, if you haven't done that already. The link should now be working and can be found in the post below.... Roll call for sabre starts at 10.20 am tomorrow. The competition will then begin at 10:40 and will run until 1 o'clock (if not earlier). Guidance will be provided on the day, so just come prepared like to a normal training session.

14.01.2022 I hope everyone had a happy Anzac day and a wonderful weekend!! A few news announcements from your sexy committee: 1) Get hyped, get excited, and strap your seatbelts in for club competitions are on their way!! Sabre will start us off this Sunday (2 May), from 10 am to approximately 1 pm, followed by foil a week after (9 May). Since the Epee beginner course has been delayed, we’ve decided to postpone any epee comp for the time being but will keep y’all posted. To celebra...te the end of competitions a BBQ will be held, which will be a perfect chance to come say hi and get to know more people. All members are welcome to attend, and we will also be joined by our new partners in crime: Monash Biological Society and Monash Forge Society! 2) We’ve gotten a new QR code, it's hanging on the door at the entrance. Please do not forget to give that bad boy a quick scan. Monash would love to keep track of who goes in and out, and might encourage Monash to give us a larger space when they see how many members we now have~ Q&As - I wanna compete, what do I do? Sign up sheets will be uploaded during the week. Sheets will include expression of interest in weaponry, as well as dietary requirements for BBQ - Where will it take place? The pools will likely take place in the Martial Arts Hall. Once completed, we will perform individual bouts inside the club. - Do I pay to enter? No, your membership includes entrance fees. - I suck and will probably get destroyed by elite members of the club, right? Not at all! Joining a comp can be scary af sometimes but even getting your butt handed to you is a learning experience - and you never know, you might surprise yourself! Even just entering with the goal of scoring a single point off of someone its worth joining in for the fun and experience of it - But why? Competition will be performed "by the book" of Novice, B-grade and state championships. It will give you a good idea of how it feels to compete, win and lose, and will help you feel less lost when participating in non-club comps. Winning in a competition will award you with a title of club's champion and your name will be engraved on the trophy, immortalising your glory. More information on the competitions will be released during the week, so stay tuned. If you have any questions, send us a comment and we'll slap it with a satisfying answer.

06.01.2022 Hey ya memers just a gentle reminder that on thursday we are having an intensive session for beginners on priority rules. If you don't know what you're doing this is FOR YOU. Now to the more important matters:

06.01.2022 Hi all Hope you managed to keep the kilos off over summer because training is starting us and we have a heap of cool things on this semester. Sessions are going to be the same times as last year; Mon (Sabre), Tues (foil), Wed (Olympia Epee) and Thurs (Sabre and Foil) all starting up from the 16th. Please make sure you get onto the membership sign up before you arrive so that we don't get legal issues. Here is the link if you can't find it: https://connectedcommunities.monas...h.edu/Clubs/Fencing Lets get to it!

06.01.2022 Hi all, it's me again...normally id wait until classes have started and we are all organised for the year, however, there is a super exciting competition coming up in about 3 weeks called the Arnold Classic. Fencing Victoria are looking for some helpers to come and help do stuff over a few days. If any of you are free to help or to compete that would be amazing. The past few years that fencing victoria has been a part of it most people have got to meet Arnold Schwarzenegger himself so super cool. It is run through Fencing Victoria and not us so head over to their fb page to find out more. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=3361957987153560&id=166018153414242

05.01.2022 Hello to our fencing peps, Unfortunately there will be no Monash epee training at the club today. However if you still wish to go in and fence, Olympia will be there doing their thing. Thankyou for your understanding!!
