24.01.2022 If you have an investment or interest only loan, you need to know about this. Pretty much all lenders have changed their policies and interest rates for investment loans, regardless of security. Further, many lenders have increased their rates for all investment loans including existing loans. And the difference between lender rates is now huge! Plus, some have stopped lending for investment altogether. If you'd like to know how this might affect you, now or in the future, ask us. We can let you know how your current lender has changed their rates and policies and if there's a better option now available to you.

14.01.2022 What would a world without mortgage brokers look like? Possible legislation change threatens the mortgage broking industry, which could see all Australians hav...ing less access to smaller lenders and even less access to credit. Without mortgage brokers, finding a home loan will be harder and could become more expensive for home buyers. Find out more here: https://www.brokerbehindyou.com.au/

09.01.2022 Tips for achieving your investment goals

09.01.2022 It's a turbulent time in our industry, as many of you would know. If you'd like to show you support for the mortgage broking industry, here's how:

08.01.2022 IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT REPAYMENT PAUSE/DEFERRAL: Surprise! It's not a freebie. By all means if you are feeling financial stress, reach out to your lender (or me if you'd like support). You need to understand though that interest doesn't stop being charged when you defer your repayments. You just don't have to make payments if you can't. For example, if you owed $200000 and deferred your repayments for six months, at an interest rate of 3% (for simplicity's sake) would me...an your loan balance increases by $500 each month. (That's the interest on the loan being added on top.) So your loan balance at the end of 6 months would be $203000. The longer this goes, the more it goes up. So please don't request it unless you really need to as you will end up paying more for your loan in the long run.

06.01.2022 Here is a link to the latest available information I have on lender support packages. Please contact the lender in the first instance. If you need additional help please let me know. (But they have teams set up to handle this so should be able to resolve your issues.) Keep watch for updates if your lender isn't on here or contact me and i will find out what options you may have available.... Also - if you don't think you will need to use these services but are just curious, please wait a little while. All the lenders are being inundated with inquiries so let's let those who really need help get through the system first. Thanks and stay safe!

01.01.2022 Macquarie Bank coronavirus support information: https://www.macquarie.com/au/personal/coronavirus

01.01.2022 I know many of you are very concerned right now. So far the big 4 banks have announced that customers can defer their loan repayments for up to 6 months in cases of financial distress. Still waiting on other banks to notify us of what they are willing to do. It won't be long; please be patient as this is an unfolding crisis requiring scaled solutions. If you're having financial difficulty, have lost your job or business is suffering, the best first call is directly to the fin...ancial hardship team at your lender. Do it sooner rather than later so that the most options are available to you. You won't be judged by anyone especially at this time. I am working from home and minimising face to face interactions so i will be around to help everyone when this has settled. In the meantime, if you have any specific questions, please contact me by email or phone. Happy to do video calls too. I will provide links for lenders announcements regarding their COVID19 policies as they are announced. Stay safe everybody and look after each other.

01.01.2022 SECOND IMPORTANT UPDATE: REPAYMENT PAUSE/DEFERRAL I am hearing from my fellow brokers that some lenders (and it's too random to say which ones) are not approving repayment deferrals where the client has funds available in redraw in the loan. I understand that you may have your savings there and you may need to use these funds for living expenses over the coming months. In this case please redraw your funds out of the account (to your offset account if you have one or even to another bank may be wise) before requesting the repayment pause. Let me know if you have questions about this.
