Ring your current insurer and ask if they can give you a better deal.... Check your current policy aligns with your current health needs. If you’re not expecting a baby anytime soon, it might not be the time to be paying for Pregnancy cover! Compare other competitors. Privatehealth.com.au, @comparethemarket_aus and @finder.au have some great online options to start your search Consider whether you actually need private health or not! Whilst the public system usually results in longer waiting times for surgeries and no private rooms in hospitals, it may be a better financial option for you. However, don’t forget to factor in the MLS you may have to pay if you don’t have hospital level private health cover! I know I’m going to do my best in the next 24 hours to sort my insurances out!
