21.01.2022 Saturday morning 29th Feb. Will I see you at 11 am at the racetrack? Good opportunity to touch base.

20.01.2022 Can you help us monitor the recovery of plants and animals after the #AustralianFires? Our scientists are seeking the help of people in bushfire-affected a...reas to download the mobile app (link in comments) & upload any photos of recovering ecosystems. If safe to do so, you can download the iNaturalist app, take a walk through burnt bushland to snap photos of any plant, animal or fungus and upload it. Here's how you can help: http://unsw.to/FireRecovery We look forward to watching the bush recover together. #AustralianBushfires #AustralianBushfiresDisaster

20.01.2022 Have you seen these Labradors? Archie ( a 6 year old male black lab with a white stripe on his chest) and Charley ( a 5 year old female choc labrador) disappear...ed from our Majors Creek property on Monday 15th June and are still missing. We have had no sightings of them, so really don't know where to focus our search. We have been combing the bush behind our place and also going through Majors Creek with a fine tooth comb. We have also gone through the Reidsdale area, but nothing... Please keep our precious labs in mind as you are out and about your daily tasks. And if you do manage to spot them let us know or contact our Braidwood vet surgery - 4842 2697. Thank you , Craig and Sandra. See more

20.01.2022 Great oportunity for local food producers ....

20.01.2022 Our feed was soaked because of the broken glasshouse roof so our new resident wombat is going to have a wonderful surprise when he wakes up tonight - home delivery !

17.01.2022 An important message. I know people mean well, but there’s a good reason why we have carers like Bill Waterhouse, Julea, and Pixie, and the rest of us are tasked with finding and getting the animals to them. Caring for wildlife requires in depth knowledge as well as enormous amounts of time, skill, money, resources and commitment. If you aren’t an experienced / qualified carer please check with someone who is before doing anything.

16.01.2022 Hi all. Can I have a quick update on who has been where in the last few days (say 4) ... thanks

16.01.2022 All the birds - plus a heap more - have returned after the fires

10.01.2022 Edit - think we have it sorted. Thanks everyone. Hi all. We lost the roof on our glass house and can’t store feed atm but have just been given a large surprise delivery we can’t keep on site. If anyone needs feed can we arrange for collection from here today ? The pump on our house has blown (great timing - tank is empty so can’t fill it) so we are going to be busy today with other priorities and won’t be able to do deliveries but we can put what you need in a pile with your name on ready for collecting. I don’t want to see it get destroyed in the rain so it’s fairly urgent

09.01.2022 Heard my chickens carrying on so went to investigate and found this fellow in a corner on the ground in their day-pen (probably initially planning chicken dinner?) ... was worried something was broken so grabbed a towel and grabbed him ... (he was pretty keen to add me to the menu). Detangled him from himself, let him catch his breath and then watched him fly up to the tree. He’s definitely new to the area - any idea what feed to leave out for him other than chicken-on-the-run? (He’s fine and flew off back in the direction of the chicken pen but they are now safely locked in !)

06.01.2022 Contact Fjay if you can help ...

03.01.2022 I urge everyone to write #qprc urging for these on roads where there is a high fatality rate.

02.01.2022 Thanks also to an amazing local, we now have plenty of pellets and some hay available. Fresh vegetables will be available tomorrow. I have set up a new page so that carers can arrange collection/delivery and also request additional items that they need us to seek out. Please ask to be added if you are feeding wildlife, or want to donate. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2502345103315338/

01.01.2022 We do not want to go through another summer of fires ...
