25.01.2022 I held the first Group Supervision session on Saturday. It was a lovely opportunity to come together and support one another. Below is a reflection shared by one of the participants... Professional Supervision is an integral part of being a Sandplay Therapy Practitioner. It’s a form of self care, self responsibility and part of the essential sense of safety that underpins the work, and is offered to clients as a result. ... Feeling pretty damn fortunate to be supported and guided by one of the most profoundly experienced Psychotherapists in this method and so much more in Australia: @monique_pangari A gift of presence I wholeheartedly aspire to, and being seen in ways that both elevate and make me shift in my seat. You can run but you can’t hide- and that’s exactly how I intend to move forward from here. Thanks Mon

22.01.2022 I want to say a heart-felt WELCOME and HELLO to all 700 of you that have liked my page, that read my posts, press like, write comments and share the things you see and like on here. You are all so appreciated I acknowledge the Arakwal people of the Bundjalung nation where I live and work. I pay my respects to elders past and present and I acknowledge that I live on stolen land, a land where sovereignty was never ceded. It's been a while since I've done an introduction of...Continue reading

18.01.2022 Said by me during a conversation with another therapist... How does #hope inform your work, your life, your intimate relationships?

16.01.2022 Always worth a rewatch!! Trust is choosing to make something that is important to me vulnerable to the actions of another. Distrust is when I’ve shared something that is important to me with another, and it is not safe. ... Boundaries Reliability Accountability Vault Integrity Non-Judgement Generosity

11.01.2022 Last night I was reflecting on what I still had to get done before Christmas and my list developed into what I already have done this year... By the time we get to Christmas I will have done my tax, completed a professional website (www.MoniquePangari.com), written four blog posts from scratch, submitted and have accepted a proposal for a year long Mentorship training Program with Aboriginal Mentors in Central Australia in 2021, submitted and have accepted a contract for trai...ning professionals in trauma informed interventions with WorkUp for the next four years, had professional photographs taken, registered for GST, changed my business name, changed my personal name and all the ongoing documentation that goes with that, backed myself and started a new business, added two scholarships to my business model, developed a mentorship program to support and empower leading therapists, quit my permanent employment in the city, filled, created and delivered five training series this year, supported over 40 individuals therapeutically, started a monthly Supervision Group for Therapists to support their personal and professional growth, supported two 3-day professional online training programs in a different time zone, attended 4 different training series online in a different time zone, completed all requirements of the DARe training I started in 2017, found myself a queer adopted SE Supervisor who I see weekly for my own growth, joined a weekly adoptee writing group, set up a monthly ‘Therapists who are also Adoptees’ support group, fixed my car roof racks myself, aged another year, become a Victim Services Counsellor and completed all of the paperwork that goes with that, finished all requirements to become a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, become a member of the College of Supervisors, lost 4 kgs, multiplied my savings, quit alcohol for 12 months (and more), purchased and read a huge amount of new clinical texts, grieved the loss of my brother, let go of relationships that don’t serve me, deepened relationships with those that do, moved into a new house, set up a new clinic, and practiced what I preach about nervous system regulation, creativity and attachment healing. All without burning out!! I’m feeling quite proud of myself. #phoenixrising

10.01.2022 I facilitated two Sandplay sessions yesterday. Both were ‘sand only’ sessions. So much happens when we involve the body, the imagination and the felt sense. Both of these trays enhanced a profoundly deeper connection to Self in each client. I feel so privileged to offer this modality and to witness such internal wisdom and healing so often in my therapy room.
