Government has voted against supporting the industry I work in, at a time when all production has ceased and there isn’t a way to earn a living. No help for the industry that includes visual and performance artists, live bands, music festivals, stage plays, writers, actors, poets, hard working road crews travelling the country, setting up lights and rigs and rolling up cables, orchestras, ...audio technicians, directors, screen writers, photographers, rock bands, pub solo artists, amateur musical theatre companies, dancers, singers, fashion designers, graphic artists, gallery operators, songwriters, carvers, illustrators and and and. We contribute over six percent of Australia’s GDP and provide joy and escapism, education and wonder and we tell Australia’s important stories. 18.01.2022 Our big secret has been revealed. We unwrapped shooting on Eric & Robyn and the Mythical Beasts to follow their quest for the Archibald. We’ve seen this painting through from start to finish and were there with them on Wednesday in the hallowed Archibald Packing Room. Now here they are, on Page 3 on today’s Sydney Morning Herald. Fingers crossed they are selected as finalists for the Archibald. Wouldn’t that be amazing!
