24.01.2022 We have been working on removing the invasive cat’s claw weed from our beautiful school forest. This week during our Friday afternoon activities we had a go at weaving and making crowns with the cat’s claw vines we have collected. Our seating circle is a beautiful place to get crafty with natural materials!

16.01.2022 On the 3rd go I abandoned my attempts at trying to fit in the words required to explain the many things that make our small school amazing. I raised the sign unveiling our awesome bike track, huge oval and the beautiful Lake Alford Park all seen without moving an inch - can’t put Monkland’s opportunities in words! - Ben.

06.01.2022 The 4-5 Class are putting their technological brains and persistence and resilience values to work with the crew from Barambah EEC. They are building amazing take-home drums for a performance and, quite simply, for fun.
03.01.2022 Today while playing outside their classroom, our Preps discovered this visitor. They went straight to the bookshelf, knowing just the book they needed, and proceeded to identify this green tree frog. Much observation and discussion followed. What fantastic spontaneous learning!
