21.01.2022 Check out today's edition of The Mercury. Front and center in her military uniform is our employee Celina Muskett. Celina joined the reserves over a year ago. She was called up to help with the fires on Kangaroo Island and now to help with the Corona virus. Well done Celina!!

19.01.2022 We will be closing for a Christmas break from 12 noon on Tuesday 22 December 2020, re-opening 8.30am Monday 4 January 2021. Thank you so much for your support during 2020. Wishing you every joy and success this Christmas and in the New Year.

18.01.2022 A little about our history It all started in the humble days of 1913 when Mr Archie Warne set up business in the Webster Building in Liverpool Street. Monotone started printing local newspapers, including ‘The Voice’ as well as general printing for companies, schools and churches.... Monotone built and moved to its current site, 61 Argyle Street, in the early 1950s. At this location, the weekly Football Records and Greyhound Racing form guides were not only printed but also delivered to the local pubs (and there were many of them) by our fleet of boys on bicycles. Monotone diversified into flat sheet letterpress, printing docket books and stationery, and later made the move into offset printing, opening the door to colour work.

18.01.2022 From our historical archives an advertisement for Monotone in the local newspaper, ‘The Voice’ on 2 November 1940. Newspaper printed by Monotone.

15.01.2022 Monotone is extremely proud to be at the forefront of environmental management within the Tasmanian print industry and the wider community. The cornerstone of our plan to minimise our impact on the environment is a commitment to become totally carbon neutral. As an active supporter of Carbon Neutral we have commissioned the planting of enough trees in the ‘Yarra Yarra Biodiversity Corridor’ to offset the carbon emissions generated by our office and production facility, thus making Monotone the first carbon-neutral printer in southern Tasmania. Even more exciting is our plan to ensure that all your printing will be totally carbon neutral by the end of 2022!
