14.01.2022 Chef Sudeep, why is your curry so damn good? Making curry is something I grew up with; when you play to your strength it always comes out best. When Chef Sudeep says we he means practically his whole team. Everyone in the kitchen apart from Ya Dong Wei David, comes from Nepal.... Where in Nepal do you come from Sudeep? My family comes from Kathmandu. My sisters taught me how to cook, as my mother was away working a lot. One sister is still in Kathmandu, the other is a nurse working in Sydney. Her husband is a pilot and an engineer, a brilliant guy, working for the council in Sydney. Do you see your mum much? Before the covid I did, but now of course I dont know when I will see her again. Curry has been a firm favourite on the menu of the Monty for some time, but the recent addition of beef to the line up has been a winner! 09.01.2022 We had an accident! Monday night at 8pm one of our heaters malfunctioned and went CRAZY. The chefs jumped to action and put out the flames but this left a blue powder over everything out the front. Josh did the best he could, but couldn't get it out of the concrete. He managed to bribe some nice lads doing work across the road with a couple beers of course. Good on ya Josh, the Chefs and these Fellas! This is why we love West End (minus the malfunctioning heaters). *We have now checked all heaters and they are all completely safe.
