December 5th is the opening day , and yes our Winemaker Simon Fennell will be waiting at the gate , poised with this wonderful bottle of Montara Shiraz for all lucky guests who sign up to our wine club on that day ( well if not Simon , one of our lovely Montara team members lol) If you can’t make it in person , just like this post and tag a friend to go into the lucky winners draw . 14.01.2022 In 1970 Montara was born . 2020 marks 50 years of winemaking history for our vineyard. The first Montara vineyards on the eastern slopes of Mount Chalambar, were chosen for its frost-free location. We will put our formal celebrations on hold for now but we are happy to acknowledge our 50 years of winemaking in The Grampians Wine Region with a 5 star vineyard and wines of distinction. Montara Wines , cheers to 50 years !
