23.01.2022 Although this website is aimed at the educators, it has some real gems about the 'why' of the pedagogy, like this one about the setup of the classroom in the practical life area: "While there is no limit to the amount of practical life activities you can have in the environment, there should only be one of each activity. This helps the child to learn that s/he has to wait and life is not always about immediate gratification. As a result of this the materials become more valued." Instant gratification = the lost art of waiting :)

18.01.2022 For all that has happened in 2020 so far, the most exciting date for the Montessori community world wide will be 31 August celebrating Maria Montessori's 150th birthday. At Montessori Casa we will celebrate by holding an Open Day on Saturday 29 August 10am-4pm. If you've ever wanted to know first hand what a Montessori classroom looks like book this date in to your calendar!

17.01.2022 We are getting very close!!! All major building works are now complete with the installation of all the sinks and troughs. Final touches to be done this week. Then some important paperwork - our service approval from the Education Department in about 3 weeks, and our approval to process the child care subsidy, then we are up and away!! It's been an incredible journey - lots of hard work, patience, money, and support from our loved ones. But we are nearly there. At this point we anticipate our service approval around mid September and child care subsidy approval a week or two later, so officially opening around 1 October? We will keep you up to date. Two of the most famous within this Mafia are the founders of Google.
