20.01.2022 Our friends have been very busy working with their Montessori Jobs. It is so lovely to step back and watch as our friends busily navigate their environment finding wonder and exploration within the Montessori Materials.

17.01.2022 Learning mathematical concepts in a Montessori classroom begins concretely and progresses towards the abstract. They are developed from simple to complex. Process is taught first and facts come later. Order, coordination, concentration, and independence are experienced by the child using these materials.

12.01.2022 At Montessori Mount Claremont we have been lucky enough to have a visit recently from some local heros. We had a visit from Claremont fire station, they brought a firetruck for the children to explore and spoke about to the children about fire safety. The children even had an opportunity to put out a pretend fire using the fire hose. We also had a visit from our local police station who spoke to the children about the job they do in the community and how the police are there ...to help them. Thank you so much to our local emergency services! you do a fantastic job at keeping us safe.

12.01.2022 The purpose and aim of Practical Life experiences is to help the child gain control in the coordination of his movement, and help the child to gain independence and adapt to his society. It is therefore important to Teach teaching, not correcting in order to allow the child to be a fully functional member in his own society. Practical Life Exercises also aid the growth and development of the child’s intellect and concentration and will in turn also help the child develop an orderly way of thinking. 09.01.2022 A huge moment for Mulberry Tree Childcare! Yesterday we handed over a cheque for $15,000 to help Jess and her beautiful family throughout this awful illness. We would like to say a HUGE thank you to all of you for supporting, donating, running, walking, laughing and creating an incredible community response. Together we are stronger.

The children were very excited to have you there with them on the day. We hope you enjoyed the special biscuits and cakes we baked for you and that you all had a lovely weekend.

05.01.2022 At Montessori Mount Claremont we were visited by a gorgeous and friendly dog named Tank and a lovely Lady named Jen from the Shenton Park Dog Refuge. We donated the money we had raised with our bake sale and in turn Jen spoke to the children about the work they do at the Dogs Refuge and what the money we had raised would be going towards.
