24.01.2022 The children were devastated, someone had been into their forest and hacked down the small trees with a chainsaw. Then they decided they could make shelter from them. Just as well, as it was drizzling rain. Oh, how I love watching them play.

23.01.2022 My all time favourite event of the year. I love watching the children step up and out of their comfort zones. I love watching our aspiring leaders spring to action encouraging one another, working as a team. I love the friendships and hearing the giggles and laughter. ... I Love watching them in build independence, being in touch with nature and being children. I love caring for them, seeing their gifts and encouraging them to be all they can be. Each child has his/her unique strengths and all of them are amazing. I am so blessed to share this time with these children.

14.01.2022 Launching 2021 Montessori Homeschool Adolescent program Welcome to our very exciting adolescent program!! We can't wait to have you!!! As written in the Montessori National Curriculum, ... The aim of the Montessori adolescent programme is to provide an educational environment that enables students to: transform themselves into independent, self-regulating, resourceful and adaptable adults become interested observers, listeners and collaborators, critical thinkers and engaged citizens express their own opinions, develop their own talents, make decisions and solve problems, on their own or collaboratively, with a confidence that is grounded in the practical, social and intellectual knowledge, skills and values they are developing in the Montessori environment contribute productively, with enthusiasm and integrity, to family, school and community life, and to the wider society, both national and global dedicate themselves to the future of humanity (Montessori National Curriculum, page 234) Our adolescent program will launch with a "choose your own adventure" project where students will explore their skills and talents and devise a project of their own choosing that they will later share with you and/or an audience of their choice. We will also explore how we might collectively use our skills to benefit our community in a collaborative project. The program will begin on Tuesday 9th February at the Yandina RSL Hall at 9:00am and finish at 2:30pm. Jodie Eva Cook is a qualified secondary teacher and a published playwright/professional children's performer. She has taught in Switzerland, Vienna and Australia and has performed both nationally and internationally. She is all about encouraging others to embrace their individuality and use their talents in order to make a positive difference in the world. 10.01.2022 I hope you are all staying safe and well. Following what is happening in Qld Term 2 will be online if you wish to join us. After feeling out the last 3 weeks online term 2 will operate a little differently. I will continue to follow the curriculum I put out at the beginning of the year. Each day your child is enrolled they will have work sent to them via google drive and a one to one 20 30 minutes session. There will still be some group lessons as well however, I found t...he children find it hard to focus on work when they are with their friends. We will also have free open session each day for the children to chat. I will be looking at different rooms for this so the children can gather with their friends. We will also continue with the afternoon group session. Cost of these session will continue to be $55 per day bill per term. If you would like to join for term 2 please let me know along with how many days, you would like and preferred days.
