Chteau Penin has been a family owned business for 5 generations since 1854. Today, Penin produces wine from 40 hectares of vines, with an annual production of 270,000 bottles.... This wine is made of 100% Cabernet Franc, featuring vibrant fruits and pepper aromas, silky tannins and is well structured. Come to Montrachet and enjoy with our Stockyards Black Angus eye fillet!

22.01.2022 Wine of the week This week we will take you on an adventure to the Rhne Valley, showcasing 2017 Domaine Elodie Balme Ctes du Rhne. Elodie Balme vinified her first wine in 2006. After finishing her studies in viticulture, her father gifted her 6 whole hectares of vineyards.... From the very beginning of her winemaking career Elodie has never used artificial yeasts and has used only organic fertilizers. She now manages 28 hectares of vineyards. This wine is made of predominantely Grenache with a blend of Syrah. It features a deep ruby colour, blackberry fruit bouquet with the full aromatic power from these two grape varieties. We are always waiting at Montrachet!

19.01.2022 Wine of the week We are heading this week to the Burgundy Region, more precisely Gevrey-Chambertin, showcasing 2014 Domaine de la Vougeraie, Gevrey-Chambertin Les Evocelles. Gevrey-Chambertin is a small valley known for bringing in cool air that keeps the vines healthy and contributes to slow ripening. Gevrey-Chambertin was Napoleon Bonapartes favorite wine!... Domaine de la Vougeraie is a family run estate uniting a collection of the most prestigious, historical vineyards in Burgundy. The winery strictly adheres to organic and biodynamic farming in order to achieve a balance between the earth, the plant and humanity, with the goal of drawing the best from the terroir. This wine is made of 100% Pinot Noir. It features an aromas of raspberry, sour cherry, earth and mushrooms.

09.01.2022 Wine of the week This week we will take you to the Champagne region, more precisely Avize in Cte des Blancs, showcasing the NV De Sousa Grand Cru Rserve Brut Blanc de Blancs. Avize is classified as Grand Cru. They call it the gods land, which gives birth to great Champagnes. The De Sousa house was settled in Avize in the 1950s and is family owned.... The wine is made completely of Chardonnay grapes, using 100% biodynamic viticulture technique. It is clear gold in colour with a fine creamy bubble, featuring aromas of toast, peach and lemon. We have very limited availability, so dont miss out!

Olivier was born in 1945 and dedicated his whole life to winemaking until his retirement in 2010.... Olivier Leflaives philosophy is to produce simply great wines by using good vines and grapes. This wine is made of 100% chardonnay grapes that are picked from Cte de Beaune, Cte Chalonnaise and Hautes Ctes de Beaune. It features an aromas of butter, citrus and honey.
